Certified instructor description: Step aerobics blended with kick boxing. It’s the perfect combination — a step is a natural way to add vertical intensity to boxing’s usual lower-body moves. The result? You’ll burn more fat as you tone your legs and buttocks. Kelly Coffey-Meyer’s add-on cuing and smooth transitions make it totally doable. She always introduces a new punch exercise with a basic step combo, or demos a new step sequence with a simple punch combo. The first workout is a little less choreographed. The second is slightly faster-paced with more varied combinations. Both programs use the space around the bench for wider-ranging patterns. ©2011. DVD has: 8 premixes (23 to 50 min. alternate workouts), Chapter menus, Wide screen.

Kelly Coffey's 30 Min. to Fitness: Step Boxing

Best DVD I have ever done!!
This was the best investment I have made in a long time toward keeping my fitness program fun. Combining aspects of Step and Kickboxing is a match made in "Fitness Heaven"! Kelly is great and cues perfectly. Plus there are so many build-ons, this one DVD could be varied for months before you tire of it. My heartrate is pumping and I am having a fun workout too! I give this one a "10" for sure!!! - posted by Jan on 5/17/2012
No Frustration!
I tend to get very frustrated with complicated choreography, however this is the first video I have seen that actually has a tutorial on the more complex moves. This alone makes it first-rate in my book. I really liked Kelly's favorite compilation premix, as it has a little bit of everything in it. Still didn't get all the moves down the first go-round, but I think I will have it down after I have done the workout a couple more times; practicing with the tutorial definitely helped. Kelly also cues pretty well, and I really liked the step and kickboxing combo, a really great way to mix things up. This was my first Kelly workout and I really enjoyed it. - posted by Suzanne on 5/3/2012
30-minutes to fitness, Kelly Coffey's lunchtime workout
We LOVE our video...30 minutes or more (depending on our choice of her workout options) is enough to work up a great sweat, feel more toned, and know we've gotten 30 minutes of great exercise...this is a great addition to our week's exercise videos! - posted by Nan on 4/28/2012
Love it!
I am a fitness instructor and am always looking for something new and exciting. Kelley's choreography is challenging but once you learn it, you can really get into the power groove! I wish the workouts were longer because they are so enjoyable. - posted by Janet on 4/19/2012
LOVE IT!!
I love this video. I even have other co-workers join me on Thursdays to workout! I think Kelly has started something new on my job! - posted by Sylvia on 4/19/2012
Fabulous!!
The moves are easy to catch onto, and they change up in a way that is fast-paced and energizing. I feel amazing when I finish these workouts, and I love that there are lots of great options with extra dumbbell drills, etc. Definitely my new very favorite go-to workout dvd!! - posted by Kim on 4/19/2012
GREAT WORKOUT IF YOU STICK TO IT
I bought this dvd about 2 months ago. I tried it a couple of times and found that it was a little difficult for me. I stuck to it and did it every day. I love it know and is so effective. I have lost 8lbs. and have toned my body. I have a lot of weight to lose and stick to this dvd doing it 4 times a week along with going to the gym twice a week just for change of pace. Kelly is a great trainer and this is my first dvd from her but i will buying more. - posted by Lynda on 4/12/2012
Love it!
Super fun workout. I have been a long time Cathe fan but this video of Kelley's is great. The choreography is not too complex but complex enough to not become boring after a few times. Enjoy! - posted by Linda on 4/10/2012
Totally awesome!
I love this workout, especially doing the mixes with step & drills & boxing. This my new favorite workout. Love the compilation workout and love combining both workouts 1 & 2 for a fantastic 56 minute workout! Kelly has gone all out - this is my favorite, and I have all her workouts and love them all! Its great when time is short and you only do one workout, but the variety and pre-mixes make so many different options. All the moves are really fun, get your heartrate up (but wear weighted gloves), and her cuing is the best it has ever been. She explains all the moves ahead of time, then demonstrates them, but never slows down doing it! Kelly, please make more workouts soon (especially cardio) - I can't stop doing this one, I'm totally addicted! I'm going to get tired of it if I don't stop!! - posted by Cheryl on 4/6/2012
Fun and effective
This workout is an improvement over Kelly's previous Step-boxing video, in my opinion. This video focuses more on boxing, but adds in the step for variety and a cardio boost. Kelly is by far my favorite instructor, and I own almost all her workout DVDs. This workout is fun and good cardio. It didn't take long to get the routine down, but it's still challenging at certain parts. I enjoy the step and boxing combos. I also enjoy the premixes, and the dumbbell moves are a nice addition. I do wear weighted gloves when doing this DVD; without them it felt too easy and not challenging enough. The music is getting better in Kelly's videos as well. Overall, I recommend this workout. Kelly is awesome! - posted by Laura on 3/26/2012

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Premixes
X
These are alternate workouts created by the manufacturer. They use the same content as the main program (i.e. the very same video footage). But the sections are re-edited into pre-made alternative workouts that you select from a menu. These are often condensed versions of the main workout.
Chapter menus
X
You can play only the individual workout segments you want by picking them off a chapter menu (one at a time).
Wide screen
X
The program fully fills a wide-screen television screen. Note: These videos will display black bars at the top and bottom on a traditional 4 x 3 ratio TV screen.
