Certified instructor description: An easy-to-follow indoor fat-burner with a strong Christian focus. Leslie’s spiritual commentary will keep you motivated while the Christian “lite rock” music will keep you energized. The moves are effective and super-simple — just basic marches, knee lifts, kicks and side steps. It’s the Christian orientation that makes this program unique. Throughout the workout, Leslie emphasizes the body, mind and religious elements of exercise (“when Paul talks about ‘walking by faith’…”). Songs include “Here I Am Lord,” “Blinded by Faith” and “You Bring Me Joy.” ©2008.

Leslie Sansone's A Closer 2-Mile Walk

This is just what I was looking for.
I like Leslie's tapes and this tape covers body, mind and spirit. I have been in Arizona for the winter and about 20 of us ladies have two of her other 2 Mile Walk Tapes. I got this one to give us a well rounded group of walking tapes to use. i have had back problems beginning in 2002 and for the last two years using Leslie's tapes, I have been pain free. - posted by Barbara on 4/26/2011
Wow!!
I love this video! I am 66, and not been into exercising very much. Leslie makes this walk so enjoyable, I look forward to doing it each day. Also love that I can do it at any time I feel like it, and can do it in my bedroom where it is a comfortable temperature inside, while 10 degrees outside! - posted by Rosemary on 1/27/2011
Too much talking!
I purchased this dvd specifically because I thought exercising to Christian music would be a nice change. The workout is great, it starts off really slow but speeds up and really gets up to a good speed. I can only really make out the music in the first song and in the cooldown, but Leslie's constant chatting is so distracting that the music might as well not be there. I think she talks even more than usual in this one. - posted by Michelle on 1/22/2011
A Closer 2 Mile Walk
This is a great workout for those of us who need low impact. Leslie is very positive and I really enjoy her format. Would recommend this highly! - posted by Deborah on 10/21/2010
Soul & Body Feel GREAT!
I have many of Leslie Sansone's walking videos and this is one of my favorites! I love the first song, "Here I Am Lord" and it is a beautiful, uplifting version. I think it may be Celine Dion singing it? Not positive about who's singing it but sounds like her to me. Anyway it's a great workout and great music. You will feel awesome in body and soul. If you've never done a Walkaerobics video I highly recommend trying them as they are very simple to follow but boy do they work! - posted by Susan on 9/21/2010
Music Too Low
I have purchased MANY of Leslie Sansone's videos & the sound quality is not good on most of them. You can hear HER fine, but not the music. I use these videos during exercise breaks at work. We'd prefer the music to be louder to motivate us as we exercise! - posted by Joy on 8/19/2010
A Closer 2 Mile Walk
This is a good beginner walking DVD. Right now I'm a little more advanced, but I do enjoy the walking by faith! I hope that Leslie decides to do a more advanced walking dvd with spiritual and uplifting songs of faith! - posted by Joyce on 4/2/2010
Definitely a Keeper!
I was a little hesitant to try this one because I wasn't sure if I would feel comfortable with a dvd that had any kind of a religious orientation. I'm glad I went ahead and got it. The walking part is very good, and the entire mood of the dvd is relaxing and uplifting. I would describe this workout as very spiritual. I would definitely recommend it. - posted by Carol on 3/19/2010
Great DVD
I love this DVD it has made me exercise and it is so motivating. I hate to exercise but this has helped so much it really makes you sweat if not your not doing it right. - posted by Denise H on 3/17/2010
Uplifting and a good workout
I really enjoyed this workout. It is uplifting and positive, with a "just us girls" kind of feeling. Well, just us over-40 girls, I should say. I am not in the shape I used to be in, so I doubt this would be much of a challenge for someone at an intermediate or advanced level, but it is a nice workout for me. - posted by Kay on 3/2/2010
