Leslie Sansone: Walk Away Your Hips & Thighs |
    Good Workout-Liked Music |
| I really enjoyed the cardio section of this workout. Very fast walking and LOTS of side step, knee lifts, kicks and kick backs to really work those legs. I thought the toning section would have been much better if she had done a specific number of sets and reps. She works until the "muscle is fatigued" but mine was not, and it wasn't even with the reps done on the opposite side. That being said, I take Leslie's lead with the moves and do however many I want to do and just pause her if I need to. I see a few people did not like the music but I enjoyed it. It really helped me "pick up the pace" to get a good workout. Overall good workout and worth every penny. - posted by Michele on 10/27/2008 |

Another must have from Leslie! |
| I am between a beginner and intermediate. I love this workout. The music is great and the toning section is very effective. You also have the option of doing just the walking segment or just the toning segment. I do wish the toning segment was a little longer but all in all a great workout. - posted by Ella on 10/25/2008 |

    Awesome |
| I couldn't have asked for a better workout DVD. Leslie takes you through a good heart healthy workout. I found it more of a challenge than some of her other "Walk Away The Pounds" DVD's. It is doable as she has the same basic moves, but just be aware, it is faster paced. By the time I'm done I have worked up quite a sweat. The toning segment is fantastic as well. She really challenges your muscles, and by the time you're done you feel a good sense of accomplishment. Also, the music was fine for me. I didn't have a problem with it. I highly recommend this video. - posted by Belinda on 10/15/2008 |

    Excellent!!!! |
| This was an excellent workout, I am the 65-year old that just won't stop when it comes to improving my health and body and again Leslie has provided another workout that keeps me motivated and feeling good. It was a very invigorating exercise and I really like her focus on firming the hips, thighs as well as the gluts. I highly recommend this for anyone that is looking for an effective workout for these areas. Keep up the good work Leslie, I liked it all including the music which was perfect for the type of workout that we were doing. - posted by Joyce on 10/12/2008 |

    Terrific fast-paced 2 mi. walk + add'l lower body toning |
| This video does not include any hip hop music. It's more of a techno/alternative beat (but not the annoying kind). And while that's not my preference in music, it didn't bother me at all during the workout. I was listening more to Leslie's cues because this is a very fast-paced walk and she quickly rotates among the familiar moves (but never loses you!). Plus, you have to have music with a fast beat to keep up this pace and most other types of music are too slow (I noticed this when I tried listening to my ipod during a different Leslie workout). Her music keeps the pace moving, and personally, I'm glad to see Leslie use some new songs. The 2 mi. walk is a fast powerhouse of a workout. Lots of lateral side steps, knee raises, and kickbacks, all of which I like and are very effective for me. No boosted walking (jogging) in this one; that was a nice change to try too. But don't underestimate-- she makes up for it with the pace and moves, keeps you going fast, and you will definitely sweat!! I don't think you could ask for much more in a 30 min. workout. The additional 20 min. strengthening/toning moves are a great compliment and challenge; really felt it in my hips! The fit cuff is an effective tool on these moves. It's comfortable and appears to be of good quality, with fairly wide velcro straps that look like they will last. I say Way To Go, Leslie!!! This walk and these toning moves are a great combination. Highly recommend if you want cardio, tone hips, inner & outer thighs. - posted by Deborah on 10/9/2008 |

    Great Toning Segment! |
| I must say that this DVD is well worth the money! The toning segment alone is something that I really enjoy! I have every DVD that Leslie has released since 2000 and I will say that this one is really good! The music is not bad. It's got a little bit of a hip-hop feel to it but it's not horrible so the complaints are just not reasonable. I think it's nice to have a change in music as so many of her DVDs use the same songs over and over. I would have rated this DVD a 5 Star workout except I too, have grown to enjoy the walks with the other cast members. It's just Leslie here, so for me the 2 Mile somewhat was not as fun to do as her other 2 miles. BUT the toning segment of this DVD is more than worth the purchase. I have hip problems and needed a routine that focused on my sensitive areas to help rebuild my strength and this DVD is going to help! If you need more of a challenge, tie a knot in the band and your ready to really challenge your backside and thighs! BEWARE: you should ware long pants under the cuffs or longer socks as the cuffs are kind of scratchy. - posted by Julia on 10/9/2008 |

The toning section is great! Music - not so great |
| I thought Leslie did an excellent job on the toning section, in fact it is very similar to ShortCuts - Lower Body. However her choice of music takes away from a 5 star review. - posted by Donna D. on 9/30/2008 |

Poor choice of music, but good workout |
| I only did the one mile tonight, did not view the toning section yet.
The 1 mile workout was good, just Leslie, good fast pace. I didn't care for some of the music in the 1st mile - it sounds rather "hip hop" to me, perhaps her teenage daughter picked it out? The first two or three songs I did not find pleasing at all, the last song was from Walk Slim Fast Start, which had a nice beat. I am in my fifties, which might explain my dislikeof hip hop.
For all the years that Leslie has been putting out workouts why can't she come up with better music? Even some of the old disco favorites have a fast enough beat and are much more appealing. - posted by Donna D. on 9/29/2008 |
