Certified instructor description: An easy-to-follow workout that combines new aerobic moves with resistance band toning (the DVD comes with a band). Designed to get fast results, Leslie's tempo and intensity is a little higher than usual. The first section is pure fat-burning cardio. In addition to her usual four steps, Leslie includes simple additions like grapevines, step touches, mambos and even small jumps. She also has more directional changes and wider-ranging movements (you may want to move the furniture for this one). The second section uses the band for aero/tone intervals. The band increases the aerobic intensity while also firming and sculpting your muscles. As always, Leslie is energetic and motivating ("walk yourself happy!"). ©2012. DVD has: Chapter menus, Region 1.

Leslie Sansone's Just Walk 3 Mega Miles

If I could give it 6 stars....
I have many of Leslie's workouts, even some of the old "Walk Away the Pounds" VHS tapes! I truly beleive this is her best one yet. She brings new steps to the workout, and the band work in miles 2 and 3 is challenging. The format of this workout makes it go super fast. Highly recommend it. - posted by Anne on 5/23/2013

Leslie Sansone work out 3 Mega Miles
I just love this video! Leslie's workouts keep you moving at a reasonable pace. This one targets all the muscle groups, I am very pleased. I will be ordering more Leslie videos. I do have the 5 mile walk also. Her workouts don't take forever like some of the dance videos I have. With her the time goes by quickly. I love to walk with Leslie! It's better than going to the gym. - posted by Irene on 4/19/2013

Pretty Good!
I really like Leslie Sansone's walking videos and especially the ones that have 'extra boosters' in them. This is a good workout whether you do 1,2, or three miles. Using the band helps, but I noticed that when I unwrapped my purple band it smelled just like a Hershey candy bar! Yes really! Is this a cruel joke? I use another band now. - posted by Kelly on 3/19/2013
Love it!
This is the first video I bought. I love the variety of moves at each mile and you get quite an upper body workout with the band. Worth the price! - posted by Stacy on 3/14/2013
3 Mega Miles
I like this dvd and her newer ones. Lot of variety. I just wish she would do a walking dvd outside. - posted by Susan on 3/13/2013
I Liked It
The second mile flew by. I liked how there was a separate warm up and cool down that wasn't part of the 3 miles. That way you can mix the workout miles and still get the warm up and cool down. The new steps added a nice change and the use of the band and squats and lunges was great. And Father Scott's story about becoming a certified instructor so he could keep doing His "Pound Away The Pounds With The Padre" classes for charity was a nice bonus. I liked this much better than 5 Mega Miles. The only criticism I have is I wish there was a little more band work. I will definitely reach for this often when I'm in the mood for a 3 mile walk with Leslie. - posted by Kristin B on 3/3/2013

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Chapter menus
X
You can play only the individual workout segments you want by picking them off a chapter menu (one at a time).
Region 1
X
This DVD is designed for US and Canadian DVD players. It will NOT play in most foreign country players.
Level
X
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Aerobics impact
X
Lower Impact: Both feet never leave the ground at the same time. This minimizes stress on your knees.

Higher Impact: Includes movements like jumps, hops and skips. Very high-impact is called plyometrics.

Mixed Impact: This alternates or combines the above styles.

Aerobics choreography
X
Basic: The easiest to follow. It ranges from simple walking-style marches to sports and athletic movements.

Complex: More intricate combinations and patterns. They're ideal for people who like to dance.

Moderate: More interesting than Basic, less dancy than Complex.

Toning emphasis
X
Upper body: Arms, chest and back.

Lower Body: Legs, thighs, hips and buttocks.

Abs: Abdominals (stomach), core and sometimes lower back.

Total body: Tones all three of the above muscle groups.

Floor aerobics & toning
X
Definition: Includes two workout activities. The aerobics segments are fast-paced standing movements like marching, dancing and jumping. These segments require no equipment. The toning sections are slow, controlled movements working against a resistance. These may include Pilates and weight training.

Benefits: The combination of both activities provides a balanced workout. The aerobics burns calories, strengthens your heart and increases stamina. The toning builds lean muscles, increases your metabolism and makes everyday activities easier.
