Time graph for Leslie Sansone's Walk Slim 4 Fast Miles
You get two workouts on two DVDs. The main program, “Four Fast Miles,” is a challenging, all-cardio workout that includes varying walking tempos. It has five complete slower-then-faster cycles -- lower-impact walking segments alternated with higher-impact, higher-speed “bursts” (e.g. jogs, pendulums, step kicks). But don’t worry, Leslie always provides a similarly intense, low-impact option (e.g. a wide-ranging side-step instead of a jog). Like the all-sizes-and-shapes class, you’re sure to be energized by the varying tempos and Leslie’s legendary enthusiasm (everyone really is laughing and having fun). The exercises are super easy to follow and totally non-dancy — mostly variations of marches, jogs, kicks and knee-ups. Soundtrack includes sing-along vocal oldies like “We are Family,” “I Feel Good,” “Respect” and “New Attitude.” The second workout is "1 Mile Jog." This short program is more intense than regular walking. Instead, you’re actually jogging - moving at a much faster pace with your feet off the ground (e.g. a familiar side step becomes a leg-swinging pendulum, a knee-up now incorporates a hop). ©2007, 2007. Leslie Sansone's Walk Slim 4 Fast Miles

Good workout -- but do not like the dialogue
In general, this is a very nice, enjoyable workout. And the music is good to walk to. I cannot stand Leslie's constant flirting with Jimmy. If you could get past that, good for you! It would be perfect if not for that. I do enjoy watching Leslie and her daughter -- they are really cute together -- and really, what other teenager would say, "I love walking with you every day?" Leslie is peppy and generally motivating. This is probably the fastest, most challenging of her workouts. The dialogue with Jimmy (or should I say monologue? ) just has to go. - posted by Mary Anne on 3/4/2010
Love It - Love It - Love It!!!
I guess you can tell from the title, I love this workout! I like the music and the moves. The people in it are fun and Leslie is her usual happy, caring self. This video has been instrumental in my losing 90 + lbs. Leslie rocks! - posted by Kathy on 1/18/2010

Fun
I've only done this once, but because of so many negative comments on Leslie's videos, I just couldn't wait to comment. I hesitated to buy anything of hers because 'they' say it's too chatty or the camera is awful, etc. I really enjoyed this. Yes, she's chatty but not annoying. It appears to be a group of people who enjoy each others company while walking, and Leslie includes the viewer. ("Tell me if they walk away"). The group shows many options for arms to vary the intensity and there are low-impact options. No one is annoying as in so many other videos where there always seems to be someone who wants the spotlight. And the camera work, while it does change angles, doesn't do it rapidly so that you feel like your eyes are jumping. The camera moves in easy transitions. I like the plain studio. It's a nice change from all the glitz that we really do know are fake sets. It was a good workout, it was definitely fun and I really feel like I accomplished something. I am now a certified Leslie fan!! - posted by Phoenix on 12/14/2009
Fire the camera guy!
After doing other Leslie dvds, this one is sad. Just in the first 5 minutes, the camera switches angles multiple times. If you were prone to seizures, this might start one. It's nice to have different music, but you can't hear it much. Leslie keeps saying "I'll be quiet so you can hear this song". Nope. I do like Leslie and like her motivation as you are walking, but it get's lost on this one. I ordered this series as a set, and wish that I would have previewed and bought it here instead!! - posted by Jen on 11/22/2009
Better Than Expected
When I saw the clip with Leslie and the James Brown figure, I got worried. But, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I actually enjoyed this workout. The four miles went quickly. I enjoyed the small variations with the walking (mambos, grapevine). Leslie was a little more chatty than usual but it was heartfelt. This will become part of my regular workout routine. - posted by Tina on 11/2/2009
LOVE THIS WORK
I have this in my rotation now & I love it - I wish I could see more of this type of workout from Leslie - it's not boring & repetitive - the joking intervals keep you awake - I would love to see more of this type with some different moves between the intervals - posted by DAPHNE on 10/29/2009
Love Leslie, but James Gotta Go!
I am a true Leslie Sanson fan, and this video like most of her walk -at -home series is great for us athletically challenged people, however I fail to see the reasoning for her brandishing the James Brown bobble head doll. I think sticking to the workout would have been best. - posted by Jonell on 8/24/2009
Love the jogging intervals/sick of the same music
I am both a walking and running enthusiast and love these hybrid workouts Leslie has come out with more recently. Admittedly, there is more walking than jogging, and thus she is true to her core exercise approach, but the 2-minute jogging intervals really boost the workout. If you want to make this workout more advanced, I would recommend adding some weight--I used 2-pound hand weights for the entire workout, with the exception of the jogging intervals--and exaggerating the motions. The one thing I don't like about this DVD is the repetition of the SAME music she has been using forever. It is tired to the point of being exasperating and needs to go into retirement! - posted by Stephanie on 8/9/2009
Yes, it is fast and much boosted walking!
Look out this thing is fast! There are five boosted intervals and man do they mean fast! This is the quickest, most difficult walk I've done with Leslie. I don't care for the mile markers in it. It is just some counter that counted backwards. This walk is all about cardio and endurance. - posted by ATara on 7/16/2009

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
