Certified instructor description: This is a two-DVD set. The “Fast Start” DVD is perfect for beginners. The first 17 minutes is a steady-paced, low-impact fat-burner designed to get you familiar with the movements. The next 9 minutes boost the challenge with faster/slower intervals and higher-impact options. The second DVD, “3 Fast Miles,” progressively builds in intensity. You’ll begin at a slower speed and gradually increase the tempo (all the while, adding wider movements and higher-impact modifications). Both programs feature easy-to-follow all-cardio intervals led by a super-friendly instructor. Like her all-sizes-and-shapes class, you’ll be energized by the varying tempos and Leslie’s legendary enthusiasm (everyone really is laughing and having fun). The exercises are totally non-dancy — mostly variations of marches, jogs, kicks and knee-ups. Soundtrack includes sing-along vocal oldies like “We are Family,” “I Feel Good,” “Respect” and “New Attitude.” ©2007. DVD has: Chapter menus, Music only option, Narrow screen.

Not recommended
While I enjoy the liveliness of the instructor, I found the moves and the music to be jerky and not well coordinated I would not recommend this video. - posted by Dina on 1/29/2012
Leslie Sansone Fast 3-Mile Walk
A great workout; easy to follow; starts my day right! - posted by Kathy on 11/20/2011
Add it to yor Leslie collection!
The first DVD is definitely the better of the two in my opinion. You get a good workout and work up a sweat in 35 minutes of interval walking. The cast is great: it includes two walkers who've lost a ton of weight by walking with Leslie, which is a great motivator. The second DVD is basic walking and a little longer. Overall, the program is great, easy to stick to and does produce results. Leslie's workouts are great because "you can't do it wrong" and you feel that you've accomplished something for yourself every day. - posted by Anne on 10/13/2011
Great!
I am 60 years old and have been doing exercise videos for the past thirty five years. I love doing aerobics but am finding out that the older I get I need to have a program where I do not jump around too much. This video does the trick. I have been walking with Leslie for many years and have about 7 of her videos. This DVD offers two workout programs. I mainly use the three mile one. I love the music and love working out with all her walking partners including her daughter and niece. This video gets my heart rate up and I really feel like I am getting a good workout. I highly recommend this DVD. I sometimes use one or two pound weights every once in a while to even get a better workout. I usually do this video 2 to 3 times a week, and then do other videos to get a variety. I say "buy it today". You will not be disappointed. - posted by Patti on 9/29/2011
Love Leslie's Videos!
I purchased my first Leslie Sansone video approximately two months ago and now have eight. She is so motivating! I really enjoy her interaction with the other walkers. I actually look forward to walking with her every morning. I also like the music in this video. Hope she comes out with some new ones. - posted by Andy on 9/13/2011
Gets me walking!
This one I really like, the music gets you going, the energy is positive, however the cuing isn't the greatest. The 1st dvd is shorter and boosted, the 2nd one is the 3 mile, no boosting, I use 3lb dumbbells, and a curves elastic belt, my waist used to be small back in the day, and I'm hoping to see that again and to lose some inches and weight with this video. I currently weigh 186 lbs. and I am 5'6. On Dec. 7th will post and leave an update. My waist is currently 35.5 " and my hips are 44". Wish me success - posted by boricuaz on 9/7/2010
3 mile may be her best
This has 2 dvds. The first is an interval, with bursts of running. I did not like this one. I didn't care for the music or background. The 2nd dvd, the fast 3 miles may be her best. It has really good music and a variety of moves. The set is brighter on this one too. This one is a 5 star. I gave the dvd a 4 cause I didn't really like the first dvd. - posted by barbara on 8/7/2010
Love Sansone!
I haven't done the entire video yet, but I know it's the same Leslie workout that I love. I like it that she talks a lot--it's positive, occupies my mind and keeps it off the exertion (kind of like when the nurse talks to while she gives you a shot). - posted by Betsy on 7/22/2010
great video
i like this video because it really gets me going in the morning. - posted by loretta on 7/15/2010
A Personal Favorite
Both the Fast Start and 3 Fast miles workouts are great. Yes, Leslie gets a bit too chatty at times. But, that is her style. I really enjoy these workouts. No matter what other workouts I might try, I seem to always come back to Leslie! - posted by Tina on 11/2/2009

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
