Certified instructor description: An aero/tone interval program with a variety of moves and tempos; it maximizes results with resistance tubing. The kit includes two tubing devices so you can select the ideal resistance for each activity (and for your own fitness level). The aero/tone segment has lots of variety. In addition to intervals of upper-body toning, it also features cycles of faster/slower aerobics. As always, Leslie's attitude is supportive and her moves are super-easy-to-follow. But, for this workout, she's also increased the motivation with a couple new exercises ("step, knee, back, back" and a "step kick"). The workout ends with an optional ab-focused floorwork segment. ©2010. DVD has: Chapter menus, Region 1.

Leslie Sansone's Walk Weight Loss Bootcamp Kit

I usually like Leslie
This DVD is a disappointment. She is so far off the beat that I couldn't even get very far into the workout. I decided to try it again and just ignore the fact that she is off the beat. It didn't work. I am a musician, but I think this would drive some people crazy, even if they aren't musicians. I don't understand why this problem is so severe on this particular workout. I haven't noticed it in the past- at least not much. Normally I would give Leslie workouts four or five stars. This can only be worth one star in my opinion. - posted by Janet on 11/23/2011

Perfect compliment to other Leslie walks!
I have been walking with Leslie for a while and I love the fact that her walks are easy to follow (especially at 5:45 am) and do produce results. This DVD is a little different (different moves, new equipment) and changes up her usual walk a bit. The time flew by and I felt some new soreness the next day. Definitely recommend this as a supplement to her other walks. I do agree with another review re: the music, it seemed a little off, but, other than that, it is surely one to add to your Leslie library. - posted by Anne on 10/13/2011
Great video
I really like this bootcamp video from Leslie Sansone. I am 63 and trying very hard to stay in shape. I have been working out since 2007 and still like to challenge myself. This video with it`s strength work, lunges and boosted walking does just that. Would recommend this to anyone wanting to get and keep in shape! - posted by Linda on 8/14/2011
Fantastic workout
Another great video by Leslie. It works every muscle and gets your heart pumping. Love the combination of aerobics with weight training to get a total body workout and really burn the calories! - posted by Chris on 8/12/2011
GREAT WORK OUT
I have several of Leslie Sansone's DVD's and they are all great. This one is the BEST of hers that I have ever done, she incorporates new moves and the combination of strength training really helps too. The core training at the end is just enough to keep your core strong. The total length of this DVD is 55 minutes, but with all the strength training and the boosted walking it passes by so quickly. I don't see how anyone could ever get bored with the DVD. It's GREAT!!! - posted by Holly on 8/11/2011
Gotta Love Leslie!
I've been using Leslie's videos for years. I had the original WATP with the sand filled balls, Walk Express with the stretchy, and her older Walk & Firm, Walk & Kick, etc. I used to be able to do the Firm and Denise Austin - jumpy, jumpy, jumpy - videos, but my 49 year old knees and ankles (previous injuries), cannot take the stress. I've tried other videos, but still have knee/ankle issues. But not with Leslie! I like this bootcamp video, it is long, but there are new moves which makes it go by faster. I didn't particular like the bands - kept making me hyper extend my wrists (?), so I started using hand weights. For all of you Leslie veterans out there, try buying a ten pound weighted vest that's adjustable and start adding a few pounds each week to the vest and do her videos. Makes them a new challenge, without any joint stress! Thanks Leslie! - posted by Lisa on 8/3/2011
Good workout
I like this workout but it isn't my favorite. The good: the extra toning work with the bands, new steps/footwork (if you've been exercising with Leslie for a while the old steps can get a little boring). The ab workout is a challenge for me -- I felt it for a couple of days. I'm not sold on the music in this video -- it isn't my style and it can be a little annoying. I wish it had the countdown clock on the screen. This video takes a long time to complete -- nearly an hour so it will be difficult to fit into my schedule on a regular basis. - posted by Marsha on 7/29/2011

Get vid, as all of her walking videos are. I am challenged by the format and feeling the beneficial effects of the workout now. The order arrived very quickly and in perfect condition. I recommend ordering from Collage Video! I will order again from them soon. - posted by Tracy on 6/30/2011

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Chapter menus
X
You can play only the individual workout segments you want by picking them off a chapter menu (one at a time).
Region 1
X
This DVD is designed for US and Canadian DVD players. It will NOT play in most foreign country players.
Level
X
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Aerobics impact
X
Lower Impact: Both feet never leave the ground at the same time. This minimizes stress on your knees.

Higher Impact: Includes movements like jumps, hops and skips. Very high-impact is called plyometrics.

Mixed Impact: This alternates or combines the above styles.

Aerobics choreography
X
Basic: The easiest to follow. It ranges from simple walking-style marches to sports and athletic movements.

Complex: More intricate combinations and patterns. They're ideal for people who like to dance.

Moderate: More interesting than Basic, less dancy than Complex.

Toning emphasis
X
Upper body: Arms, chest and back.

Lower Body: Legs, thighs, hips and buttocks.

Abs: Abdominals (stomach), core and sometimes lower back.

Total body: Tones all three of the above muscle groups.

Floor aerobics & toning
X
Definition: Includes two workout activities. The aerobics segments are fast-paced standing movements like marching, dancing and jumping. These segments require no equipment. The toning sections are slow, controlled movements working against a resistance. These may include Pilates and weight training.

Benefits: The combination of both activities provides a balanced workout. The aerobics burns calories, strengthens your heart and increases stamina. The toning builds lean muscles, increases your metabolism and makes everyday activities easier.
