Time graph for Patrick Goudeau's Quick Step
Exquisitely choreographed 32-count combinations — your feet just naturally arrive at the right place for the next series. These stylized moves are fast-paced and physically/mentally challenging — just less dancy than Patrick’s usual format (only one turn!). Patrick always begins with a base move, then layers in the variations (e.g. a basic knee repeater becomes a knee-up, “lunge back into a plank” and a hip-hop). The exercises include every possible step option — on the step, over the step, around the step, beside the step …. It’s a high-energy, just-having-fun workout (and instructor). ©2008.

Patrick Goudeau's Quick Step

liked it a lot
video is very lively and easy to follow which I am always looking for..... - posted by karen on 8/19/2010
A fun and energizing workout
This was my first ever Patrick DVD and I am not regretting it. It was fun and energizing. A big bonus for me was that it was not a very complex choreography. (big yeah!!!). I also liked the enthusiasm of the background exercisers which motivated me. Also, Patrick's personality is divine. He is clearly enjoying what he is doing. I am looking into buying more DVD's from him. - posted by Buttterfly on 7/10/2010
Quick Step
I really liked the video. It's fast, a lot of fun and really makes you sweat!! Patrick gives good cues and examples - posted by Arline Esposito on 6/24/2010
Smiling the entire time!
First, I am not that great at choreography and I really liked this one. I was smiling the entire time. He was so enthusiastic and I had my heart pumping. I do agree, I don't like how he says 'do what the girls do and watch me with the new combo'. I got confused. I wish he had just had us watch him the entire time and just broken down the steps. The steps are not hard and you will get them in just a couple tries. I really liked it. Great for a quick Sat am workout! - posted by Alicia on 3/29/2010
Good, fast workout
This Patrick DVD is pretty good. It is a quick workout, not too difficult- I'm an advanced stepper and was able to get the choreography after one viewing (this is slightly more basic than Patrick's usual turn-filled stepping). Patrick's cuing is decent. - posted by Gwen on 3/17/2010
Fun As Always!
Patrick delivers again! This is not as dancy as the rest of his stuff (and I have pretty much all of his dance and step DVDs). As he says, "there's only 1 turn" and you don't have to turn if you don't want to. I picked everything up without rewinding (although I admittedly do lots of complex choreo). He does lots of layering and TIFTing and he shows the next move while the background exercisers are still doing the previous move. There are three combos, although the 3rd one is a little bit short. The workout got my HR up and it stayed up throughout the workout. I think he put in a bit too many filler moves and probably could've added a little bit on to each combo if he didn't have so many step touches. Other than that, I really enjoyed it and it's a great workout when you're short on time and want an effective cardio workout. - posted by Marcy on 1/14/2010
Fantastic!
I really love this video - it's short and sweet. I only have a half hour for cardio in the a.m. and this fits the bill: it's challenging, a bit tricky to learn, and one I don't get bored with. This is one of my top dvds in my cardio rotation. Patrick has a cute personality and is very inspiring. - posted by Stephanie on 1/6/2010
I really enjoyed
First off I have tried Patrick's other step dvd's and lets just say never again way too dancy for me. So when he came out with this one I thought I'd give it a shot. I love it I really cant understand what everyone else finds so hard. I compare this one being no harder then Cathe or Christy Taylor. It took me maybe 3 times to get it down. Have to say I hope he makes more like this. - posted by sally on 10/10/2009
This is a great 30 minute Workout!
I've been doing Cathe workouts now for about 11 years and was pretty nervous about trying somebody different, but I had seen Patrick Goudeau on FitTV and really liked his personality. He made even the tough moves seem doable, so I figured I give this shorter workout a try. It's just great - I really mean it. Yes, it takes a little practice to get the steps down perfect, but if it didn't, wouldn't you get bored with it all too quickly. I know I would. It's a feeling of great accomplishment to get a new fairly complex workout down. Mainly I wanted a workout I could turn to when I didn't have an entire hour to spend exercising. As far as I'm concerned, this is definitely it. You won't be sorry - just stick with it. Sharon - posted by Sharon on 5/2/2009
Give this video time....
The first three times I tried this video I was getting very frustrated. It was very hard to follow the instructor. After the third try it finally got easier and now I love this video!!! - posted by Jennifer Coyne on 4/12/2009

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
