Certified instructor description: It fuses classic yoga with a dancer’s sense of power, balance and elegance. You get the strength and flexibility of traditional power yoga in an exceptionally serene and fluid format. Patricia’s straight-forward cuing and careful design makes it very do-able. Her mostly-standing progressions smoothly build in intensity. After getting you thoroughly comfortable with a sequence, she gently adds on something new (always moving, never pushing you into anything awkward). When she puts it all together, the entire series seems intuitive and natural. The first workout has a fast-paced, dancer-style warm-up. DVD includes a bonus 10-minute relaxation segment. ©2007. Previously titled "Yoga Dance Fusion" DVD has: 1 premix (33-min.alternate workout).

Patricia Moreno's Cardio Burn Yoga

Good Video
I did this one tonight for the first time and it was very easy to follow along with. The cuing is great and the pace was good. I do agree with other reviews in that it's not heavy on the cardio and there were a couple of flows I had to do alternates to because of lower back and knee issues. It was relaxing and pleasant which is what I was after. - posted by Christine on 3/16/2011
Different but still good
First of all, Patricia's cues are very helpful in helping you to get your poses right. I really like the drum music too. I felt no stress on my joints and with each plank pose, I felt stronger. I love the way she adds on to the vinyasas. I'm not sure that the term "cardio burn yoga" is appropriate. This does flow and keep moving nicely but my heart rate doesn't get up at all doing this workout. It was a nice stress and cool-down after a short kettlebell workout And it really increases body awareness. It's a fresh change from many of the repeated sun salutations that go with the "power yoga" dvd's. I like those too; sometimes I just want a change. You have to give this a chance. It is a different approach to yoga but still a good one. - posted by Mary Anne on 1/16/2011
I HATED this video
Since I read the previous reviews, I can't say I wasn't forewarned. I found it repetitious and downright boring. Also, it was difficult to hear the instructions over the music. After years of exercising to videos, this is the first video that I have been disappointed in. I have taken yoga classes that I loved, but this did not meet my expectations of variety and easy to follow instructions. - posted by Ann on 7/23/2010
This is not "Cardio Burn" - much too slow and boring
I would not recommend this dvd to anyone but someone just starting out. The title is very misleading. I tried it a few times, and then I threw out the dvd. Disappointing. - posted by Sherrie on 6/3/2010
Great workout!
I love this DVD! I have had it and used it regularly for a year. The longer workout is slower paced but still feels great. The shorter version is definitely a workout. This is a great total body workout and you WILL work up a sweat and get your heart rate up. Really good for shaping the legs and working those abs. I am an intermediate to advanced exerciser and would absolutely recommend this DVD. - posted by Sally on 5/21/2010
Boring & Repetitive
I returned this DVD because I thought both routines were boring and repetitive. She would take one move and do it over and over again ad nauseum. - posted by Cheryl on 5/3/2010
its a head rush
I bought this because I liked that it offered two lengths of workout. I enjoyed the scenery, music and instructor. I am new to yoga and found it to be a good workout and I felt like I exercised afterward. I did not enjoy that it seems like half the time your head is below your heart, maybe that is typical for yoga - like I said I am a beginner. It actually made me sick to my stomach. If you don't mind that its a good tape. - posted by lori on 2/10/2010
This is my favorite Yoga Workout
I am a Yoga fan and was hesitant about this one called Cardio Burn. The main longer workout i didn't like at all too slow but I LOVE the express workout. It's fast paced and hard. I must say it is a cardio burning Yoga. It is possible. I initially had to set the DVD player on a slower speed as it was too fast paced for me in the beginning but now I am up to speed and loving it. This is my favorite Yoga Workout. I would have given it 5 stars but the audio is horrible. The music is so loud I can't hear the instructions. What were they thinking when they released it that way? Music was good, just LOUD. - posted by Kathy on 12/30/2009
Not bad...
Like one viewer said, "takes time to appreciate". I agree. I didn't care for either of these too much the first few times I did them, but I really enjoyed the instructor, the scenery and especially the music. I've only done the longer one maybe 2-3 times as it's a bit slow paced for me, but good for days I don't feel like exercising but know I need to do something. I usually do the shorter one as it's a little faster paced and makes me sweat. Overall, not bad. - posted by Tess on 8/6/2009
I love this one!
This is a great DVD with uplifting music and stunning scenery. I agree with the reviewer who said that Patricia makes yoga do-able; her cuing is very straightforward, which makes the workout accessible for yoga novices. As some of the reviews here indicate, the title is a little misleading; the "Dance" part of the title comes from the flowing nature of the workout, as one pose flows gracefully into another. Definitely a keeper! - posted by RedPanda on 11/21/2008

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

These are alternate workouts created by the manufacturer. They use the same content as the main program (i.e. the very same video footage). But the sections are re-edited into pre-made alternative workouts that you select from a menu. These are often condensed versions of the main workout.
