Certified instructor description: Challenging, well-sequenced body-sculpting exercises — the same ones Jackie uses to train her celebrity clients. No fluff here, Jackie maximizes results by working every muscle to its absolute limit (“eventually the muscle will go numb, keep working!”). Each body-part-specific segment features three exercises that are repeated three times. The three exercises work the muscles in different ways; the three sets of repetitions let you progressively increase the intensity. The sequence always ends with a “power circuit” — a faster-paced, linked-together set of the earlier moves. Has a total of five “workouts” — two total-body programs plus three short, muscle-group-targeted “premixes.” Requires 2 to 10 lb. dumbbells. ©2009. DVD has: 3 premixes (15 min. alternate workouts), Region 1.

Personal Training with Jackie: Power Circuit Training

Good, Hard Weight Workout
I found Jackie Warner on our free VOD last year and did this workout several times. Well, they've taken it off and once I saw it here I knew I had to have it. This is a great workout. Jackie works out all body parts quickly and efficiently. I like that you move through everything quickly and the Power Burns at the end of each segment really top off the workout. Jackie says "You can do anything for a minute" and she is correct! This workout flies by and the 45 minutes is gone before you get bored. I will be using this one for a long time. - posted by Lynn on 2/2/2012
Full body workout
I like that this video focuses on the entire body. All muscle groups are included in Jackie's toning workout. I also like that I can work all parts of my body in 40 minutes - a great bonus on those days when an hour is not available. Though there is no "cardio", it is circuit training, so it is very fast paced and does provide effect cardio if you work hard and keep moving like she says. - posted by Angie on 1/26/2012
Loved it!
Fantastic DVD. The workouts were challenging but doable for an intermediate exerciser. Jackie is a good instructor she's straight forward, has good cueing and explanations and isn't irritating. I felt the burn during the workout and was very sore the next 2 days. I've only used the DVD twice and already feel a difference in my legs and arms. - posted by Colleen on 1/17/2012
Woman is a beast.
Well, I'm not the most advanced exerciser yet but I'm no novice, and the full-length total-body run of this (there's also a 15-minute total-body version) just killed me. Haven't turned my upper body to jelly like that in I don't know how long - afraid I may be a bit crippled for a few days after this! I couldn't finish all reps of all exercises (sat out a few and rejoined, or worked a bit slower). The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that I would love a longer stretch, but I'm perfectly capable of doing that myself after I finish. - posted by Hannah on 12/25/2011
Great Stuff
I started this video, and it was too fast for me, but I just stayed with it and did the reps at my own pace. The focus is exhausting body parts... ie. bicep/tricep; back, upper abs, lower abs, etc. I haven't gotten tired of it and still have a ways to go to get to where I want to be, but Jackie is helping me get there. - posted by Linda on 12/20/2011
Great Options
I really love the options this dvd gives me. I it's a relief knowing that the full body workout really covers every muscle group, so everything gets worked on. The only complaint I have about this dvd, is that she is a little too fast paced sometimes. I'm advanced when it comes to fitness, and even for me, some of her transitions to new moves or even consecutive repetitions are a little hard for me to keep up with. Once you have done the video a couple of times, you will know what to expect though. Overall, I am very happy with this video, and if you stick to it and listen to her advice, you will see results. - posted by Jamie on 12/11/2011
Worth doing
While the transitions and rep speeds are somewhat fast, I find this workout to be challenging and effective. As with any exercise, simply use the amount of weight that is appropriate for the work you are doing. The goal in this workout is not heavy, slow weightlifting. It is a faster pace and will get your heart rate up. Jackie cues very well, and has a pleasant but no-nonsense demeanor that I prefer over excessively bubbly instructors. I'm a 41 year old advanced home exerciser, and I feel that this workout is worth adding to mix things up. - posted by Jennifer B. on 10/4/2011
the best exercise bang for your buck!
i have gotten unbelievable results from jackie's workouts! a great combo of weights and cardio. at 40 years old, my body is more defined now than it was 10 years ago...thanks jackie!! - posted by rochelle on 9/15/2011
Not the best
I am an intermediate/advanced exerciser and I thought this video was pretty good. I didn't enjoy it as much as Jackie's Extreme Timesaver Training because I didn't feel like I was in the cardio zone. She just used exercises that featured one muscle group at a time, so it wasn't as challenging as I would have liked. - posted by Aimee on 8/14/2011

I like this video. It's not cardio but the weight training is intense enough that it made me sweat. I'm glad I added this to my collection! - posted by Andrea on 7/21/2011

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
