Time graph for Prevention: Abs Advantage
Four completely different segments, each featuring a distinct technique — Pilates, core, classic crunches, and abwork-with-a-stability-ball. You’ll maximize variety while toning your abs from every possible angle (or you can focus on just one technique by choosing only one segment). The Pilates and crunch sections offer fast results with a medley of proven matwork routines. The core exercises include both standing and floor moves that also target the muscles around your hips and back. The ball movements are all optimized for the ball (not just “recycled” floorwork exercises). Chris Freytag’s approach is no-nonsense; she never wastes a minute. Requires a stability ball. ©2006. DVD has: Chapter menus, Spanish option, Region 1.

Awesome Abs
These are the best ab workouts that I have ever done. I love how much variety they each have. I think that the workout on the stability ball is the best. I can really feel my abs work in each of them and my core is stronger than I ever thought it could be due to my dedication to stick to this workout and a better diet. They are all great ab workouts. It is defiantly worth the effort. I love Chris Frytag she really knows her stuff. - posted by Emily on 2/22/2009
love it, great add ons
I enjoy these because they are quick, effective ab/core workouts that you can tack onto another workout or when you want a quick routine. I skip the warm-up and cool down since I use this as an add-on and still get 8 minutes of ab work. I didn't notice excessive talking or explanation on Chris' part. - posted by Marie on 9/8/2008
So-So
I always like Chris Freytag and this was a good DVD, but not the best. I think if Chris would have talked a bit less (considering the time frame) and done a few more reps for each exercise, it would have been much more effective. Its just not very hard or effective when doing so few reps. - posted by Shelley on 4/29/2008
Good Fillers
I like the dvds that have the 10 min. workouts. I have only so much time in the morning, and with dvd's that are 45-50 min., I only have about 10-15 extra so these fit perfectly. I love Chris Freytag and tend to mostly do the Ball workout. I do find that she does not know how to count too well. She will state 4 more, then only do 2. Also, she spends way too much time talking and describing the move. I would say you only get about 5 min. of actual movement, and 5 minutes of her talking. Prevention dvd's take way too long to set up anyway. Sometimes I have to do a different workout, because with time limited, they take way too long to even set up. And you can't fast forward through all of the liability instructions. - posted by mt on 11/7/2007

ABsolutely Abs!
I love all four of these ab routines. They give so much variety that my abs are shocked with every workout. They don't know which workout will come next, from pilates to core training to classic abs and then my personal favorite the stability ball. They are all perfect workouts that make me feel stronger in my core while I am working out and after I am finished. I stand up taller and prouder due to these workouts. They are ABsolutely great! - posted by Emily on 3/20/2007
not enough reps
It's an okay workout but even if I do more than one of the workouts I don't feel like she does enough of each exercise. she's a good instructor, just wish there were more reps. - posted by Kelley on 7/18/2006
Great!!!
I look forward to these workouts. I usually do two. Chris Freytag is a great instructor! Overall fun and effective!! - posted by lori on 7/7/2006
I like it, but it's not very difficult
I like these ab routines because they're fun, different, and well-instructed, but they are not very difficult. What I do is wear myself out with Cathe's Ab Hits first and then I do a segment of this workout to finish with. - posted by Barb on 7/5/2006
Great for all levels
With the four different sections, there's lots of variety. I liked the stability ball and classic crunch sections best. The core training had standing balance moves and then some plank moves that were difficult for me. Chris Freytag is a friendly instructor and cues well. The music is upbeat; but a little repetitive. One exerciser always shows modifications so this is a video you can grow with. I thought this was better than Self's Flat, Firm Abs fast. - posted by Kelly Ann on 7/3/2006
fairly good
This video is pretty good. There are 4 different workouts, and each one of them had some really fun moves, but overall I thought that each one was to easy by itself. I would have to do 2 of them to get a good ab burn. BUT...if I have time to do 2 of them, then it's a great workout! It's not boring and the moves are great! Just need to do 2 of them to feel a good burn. - posted by ann on 5/19/2006

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
