Certified instructor description: A super-dynamic, super-fun, fat-burner — it starts with floor aerobics and ends with cardio step. Rob keeps you motivated with his down-to-earth, often humorous, approach (“this is tricky; thank God for the rewind button!”). Both segments feature a balanced mix of athletic, dancy and extra-dancy combos — from step touches and squats to mambos and chassés to “revolving-door box steps” and “reverse turn Tangos.” Rob’s clear, cue-ahead style makes them all do-able. He starts with the basics, then carefully adds the more complex steps (you can always stick with the base pattern). He also encourages you to let your body move to its natural rhythm (“feel the beat”). DVD has shorter, premixed all-floor and all-step workouts. ©2007. DVD has: 3 premixes (37 to 82-min. alternate workouts), Chapter menus.

Rob Glick's Amazing Cardio Combos

Rob Glick is amazing
He is a great instructor with amazing style. - posted by Karin Muzyka on 2/2/2011
Good
Nicely layered with sufficient breakdown to grasp the majority of the tape fist time out. Recommend it. - posted by luli on 10/6/2009
Lots of fun!
I use this on my weight lifting days. I use it right afterwards just to get some cardio and burn off some fat. Perfect because I used my carb stores for my weight lifting prior. I love that each workout is only three combinations which is perfect for a quick workout when needed. Rob really made them fun and flow well together. I can't stand the obnoxious girl that stands behind him to his immediate right but I am enjoying myself so much that she's pretty easy to ignore. I would recommend this to any intermediate to advance exerciser. It's not the most intense workouts but it's really fun choreography! - posted by Bethany on 8/14/2009
Too Slow & Rob swears
There is one thing I can't stand with instructors, it is when they swear taking God's name in vain. So out this one goes. I usually like Rob all the way from when he first started out with the G-force but this one wasn't very good. It reminded me of the Crunch workouts with girls screaming and hooting in the background. This workout was also really slow moving. He was teaching it so slow that I could not consistantly do this workout for a long period of time because of the slow breakdowns. Once the combinations were put together, my heartrate finally got up but then it plunged back down when he started teaching the next combination. Also, another bad thing is that they show too much closeups on Rob's face right when he is teaching a move? Ugh! How are we supposed to "see" whats going on when its his face close up in the screen. The high low is very similiar to his Hi-Lo Fusion but his Hi-Lo fusion is longer and better. - posted by Samantha on 9/29/2008
More intermediate than advanced
This is a fun video. I like it. But I only do it on days when I don't have a lot of energy. It is not advanced at all. It's fun though. It is hard to do the step after the floor without really making modifications (pumping it up on my own) because the step routine starts off so slow! It drives me nuts. I wish there were less step touching, etc. between moves too. Fun, but slow. - posted by Jalie on 7/16/2008
Another great one from Rob Glick!!
I have done both the workouts and I love them both!! Rob is such a motivational person, his personality makes me want to keep going even though the moves may be difficult. The workouts are also fun so I enjoy doing them. Exercise should be fun so that we will want to keep coming back for more!! Thanks Rob Glick - posted by Pam on 4/12/2008
Not So Good Here
I ordered this thinking it was more on the advanced side after reading reviews. I wasn't impressed at all and actually found it rather boring, the music, the choreography were just all o.k. Very disappointed with this and reviewers. - posted by Ann on 2/18/2008
I TAKE BACK MY BAD REVIEW
OK I took advice from other reviews as to not give up on a video until you have done it at least 3-4 times. So I tried it again....I must admit that I am really starting to enjoy this video, the high low section and the step section. It is fun and a good aerobic workout..might also learn a few dance moves too!! - posted by Robin on 2/12/2008
Maybe it's me
I have been stepping for a long time. I love Cathe, Gay Gasper, Christi...I thought I could do complex but this video had me completely confused..I admit I only tried it 2 times but both times I found myself standing there completely lost. This ones goin back - posted by Robin on 2/4/2008
Loved it!!!!!!!!
I just recently bought this and had so much fun exercising. He is motivational and just plain fun. I ended up buying more of his DVD's after this one. All I can say is if you want to have fun while exercising this one fits the bill. I enjoy dancing for fitness and he incorporates dance moves into these exercises. - posted by Linda on 1/9/2008

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Premixes
X
These are alternate workouts created by the manufacturer. They use the same content as the main program (i.e. the very same video footage). But the sections are re-edited into pre-made alternative workouts that you select from a menu. These are often condensed versions of the main workout.
Chapter menus
X
You can play only the individual workout segments you want by picking them off a chapter menu (one at a time).
Level
X
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Aerobics impact
X
Lower Impact: Both feet never leave the ground at the same time. This minimizes stress on your knees.

Higher Impact: Includes movements like jumps, hops and skips. Very high-impact is called plyometrics.

Mixed Impact: This alternates or combines the above styles.

Aerobics choreography
X
Basic: The easiest to follow. It ranges from simple walking-style marches to sports and athletic movements.

Complex: More intricate combinations and patterns. They're ideal for people who like to dance.

Moderate: More interesting than Basic, less dancy than Complex.

Step aerobics
X
Definition: Stepping up and down on a platform. The moves range from simple stepping to more choreographed exercises. Requires a step bench platform.

Benefits: Burns calories. Strengthens your heart. Increases stamina. The step helps boost cardio intensity.
