Certified instructor description: Separate floor and step sections that feature complex, truly creative choreography (“okay, throw it back, turn, hip, mambo …”). Not for beginners, these uniquely interesting moves are sure to challenge your mind and your body (but Rob’s low-key approach and cue-ahead instruction make it all seem perfectly doable). Each section includes three completely different combinations. While the pace never slows, Rob does begin with the easier moves and then layers in the complexity. Once you’ve mastered the steps, he boosts the intensity and encourages you to play with the patterns. Excellent camerawork; the view zooms in on his feet just when you need it most. ©2009. DVD has: Chapter menus, Music only option, Wide screen.

Rob Glick's More Amazing Cardio Combos

Step section is better
I really like the step section of this workout. It's fun and challenging. Uses every side of the step. I'm less of a fan of the floor section. It seems awkward to me and he makes too many mistakes. I also wish he had other people with him. I don't care for just him working out in a corner; it just is not as fun. I want a party of other people having a great time (and doing the right moves...) Also NO COOL DOWN. Just sway your hips a few times and stretch. What's up with that? I feel cheated. - posted by Jalie on 1/17/2012
Not well set out or taught
I really wanted to like this DVD, but honestly it is just not well set out/taught. What Rob does is start with a simplified version of the routine, and then in quick succession, he adds seven to ten complex dance moves to arrive at the final version. The problem is that it is difficult to see what Rob actually does, and then by the time you do see what he’s done, he added a new move. At points, I actually had to pause and rewind the DVD several times to see in which direction Rob was twirling/what foot he was starting a movement with, etc. Maybe it’s because I’m not a dancer, but I have about 10 other step aerobics DVDs and I’ve never had to do this; I’ve always been able to get it the whole workout down by just muddling through it 2-3 times. I’m on my 3rd to 4th go at Rob Glick, and I’m still struggling to get it. What makes matters worse is that Rob, in several points, accidentally adds a new variation without warning -- very confusing (he actually says “whoops, added a little too much flair there” at one point). These should have been, in my opinion, fixed/edited out by doing another take. I really wanted to like this DVD because of Rob’s positive and upbeat personality, but unfortunately, for me this DVD has turned out more an exercise in frustration than anything else. - posted by Sydney on 4/3/2010
Rob is fabulous (as always!)
From an instructor's point of view: I have used the combinations from all of Rob's videos and find this to be just as good if not better! Rob gives breakdowns and options that will accommodate classes from beginner (not brand new, some experience to terminology is very helpful) to advanced. I have been teaching for over 16 years and Rob never ceases to amaze me (and my classes) Thanks to Rob Step classes will never die out...in fact he's one of the major reasons they keep coming back for more! My classes (intermediate & advance) LOVE the choreography from this DVD as well as all of Rob's DVD's! Keep up the great work Rob! - posted by Cheryl on 7/24/2009
Dance Step With A Touch Of Athletic Step Really Gets My Heart Rate Up
I bought this DVD for the step workout, as I do not enjoy aerobic dance. My review is for the step portion only. I like it. I think the dance and athletic moves flow together well. It challenges me and my heart rate gets up high. I have been using the step portion as an add on to Seasun Zeiger's Stepping Up. Stepping Up has only 43 minutes of step cardio, and I like to do 60-70 minutes per workout. After completing the challenging Stepping Up DVD,I find the step portion of More Amazing Cardio Combos a fun and challenging complement to it. The only things that I don't like about the DVD is that the step portion is only 30 minutes, and that the music is old and uninspiring. I like Rob's sweet personality. I like the choreography. I wish Rob would make more advanced step DVDs. - posted by Susan on 7/4/2009
Ugg! What happened
I bought the original Amazing Cardio Combos by Rob Glick and loved it! I loved the music, the cast, the step and Hi-Lo Routine...pretty much everything about it. It was great to have a short cardio workout to add to my weight lifting days. That being said, I don't know what happened with Rob Glick's new More Amazing Cardio Combos. He is alone the whole time which automatically brings the energy down although I don't know how the energy could be brought any lower. Rob seems tired and un-motivated and acts like he just wants to get this over with. His combinations have very little breakdown and even though I am an advanced instructor myself, I had a hard time figuring out what he was doing because he would move on so quickly. He just seemed, well, all over the place. The flow just wasn't there. I was really disappointed because I wanted More Amazing Cardio Combos to be as good as the original Amazing Cardio Combos. I have a few of his step dvds and enjoy them as well, but I just felt like this was not the Rob Glick that I am used to and enjoy so much. - posted by Bethany on 6/30/2009
Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Chapter menus
X
You can play only the individual workout segments you want by picking them off a chapter menu (one at a time).
Music only option
X
This feature allows you to play only the music, without any cuing (after you’ve learned the movements and you just want to do the workout without listening to the instruction).
Wide screen
X
The program fully fills a wide-screen television screen. Note: These videos will display black bars at the top and bottom on a traditional 4 x 3 ratio TV screen.
