Rock Your Body with Jamie King

Really fun!
This workout took me a while to get into- I'm quite fit but not used to dancing, but now that I've learnd all the moves it is lots of fun and builds up a sweat! Plus Jamie is HOT! - posted by Jane on 1/16/2008
Not for my learning style
Jamie King is totally hot, so I was really motivated to learn from him...but his teaching style doesn't match my learning style. I have mastered Jennifer Galardi's "Dance It Off", Patricia Moreno's "Dancer's Body Workout", and all three of Vanessa Isaac's Brazilian dance workouts: What I like about them is that they count. I understand that "Rock Your Body" is meant to be more of a fun workout than a dance instruction course, but I'm the kind of learner who needs to be told specifically, "Step forward with your right on one, raise your arms on two, etc." I also need more detailed explanation on how to do the moves. I've taken a year of ballet, but I find hip-hop really hard to get. For me personally, this video is fun to watch, but it's too advanced for me. - posted by Ellen on 12/30/2007
Fun challanging workout
This workout is so much fun. The steps are hard and require a lot of practice, but when you master them it becomes easy and you enjoy it. - posted by Nicole on 12/16/2007
Dance workout with REAL Dance Feel!
I love dance workouts, but they so rarely feel like really, truly, dancing. But this one DOES!!!! It's great cardio and I love the strength work section, too! And, another bonus is the real music, yay! Altogether, I love it. And the dvd is VERY well programmed. A small warning: you won't actually repeat all moves on both sides in the dance section (I know that's an issue for some of you). And, you may need more "space" to do this one than some other dance workouts. You an probably work arond the space issue if you are creative though. - posted by Laura on 10/21/2007
If you ever took a dance lesson as a kid...
This is the DVD to buy. I grew up taking dance classes but now at 33 I haven't been in a studio for over 13 years. However this amazingly fun yet challenging workout brought me back! I haven't mastered the moves yet, but in the privacy of my "basement studio" I'm enjoying this workout to the fullest. For all you ex dancers out there this is the one to buy. - posted by Cher on 8/4/2007
Fun!
I am a teen and this video was really fun. The moves took me a while to get down and do them fast. This wasn't as an intense workout as I would have liked. I don't think I would recomend this for someone who doesn't like hip-hop. - posted by Amelia on 7/5/2007
Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
