Certified instructor description: A five-part series carefully formatted in short, goal-focused segments. Rodney and Coleen make learning yoga simple by breaking the concepts down into easy-to-learn pieces. The first workout is a step-by-step introduction to yoga's foundation poses. Then you'll use those moves in a flowing Vinyasa series designed to increase strength and energy. The core program is next. It blends classic centering poses with Pilates and fitness-style toning moves. The "clear it out" workout builds lightness and grace with a medley of rhythmic Sun Salutations. The final segment uses guided meditation and restorative yoga poses to relax your body and calm your mind ("find your deep center and quietness"). Filmed indoors and outside. A yoga strap is optional. ©2011. DVD has: Wide screen.

Rodney Yee's Daily Yoga

Keeper in my collection!
I'm new to yoga and quickly becoming hooked. Since I'm a beginner I really like the first segment because each pose is carefully explained. This DVD gives a nice variety in short segments and has helped me strengthen and stretch several problem areas. I love Rodney Yee's calm demeanor and instruction. I also enjoy Colleen's vinyasa flow. When I have time I do 2 -3 segments back to back and it makes me feel terrific. - posted by Annette on 4/27/2012
What a surprise
I like all of this video. There is always something to learn from Rodney Yee. But I was surprised at how much I really like the segment with Colleen (energize-vinyasa). Her voice is soothing and energizing and I find that the rest of the day I move more calmly and gracefully. - posted by sherri on 4/24/2012
Loose the wife
Enjoy Rodney. not in love with Cooleen. Sorry could be a lot better. - posted by luli on 3/10/2012
Great Addition
I LOVE Rodney's yoga style. I have been working with his vids for several years. My favorite is his 20 min a day vid, and I use that to end every workout I do. I wanted more of the same to add variety and I got that with this. He is a great teacher. - posted by Diana on 3/3/2012

Disappointing
I love, love, love Rodney Yee and have several of his yoga DVDs. Based on the good reviews, I purchased this DVD. I was very disappointed. Rodney's instructions are, as always, very detailed and easy to understand. Colleen Saidman's portions are hard to follow; she does not give explicit instructions, so I found myself always having to look up at the screen to see what she was doing. My main disappointment though is with the length of the workout sections. The core segment is only 18 minutes long, and 2 of those minutes are relaxation. The calm down portion is 15 minutes. Frankly, I need a video of at least 30 minutes. It seems as though you just get started and the workout is over! - posted by Robin on 1/12/2012
Rodney Yee's Yoga
This DVD has 5 different workouts so you do not get bored. It also stretches your body with different positions each day. Great for stiffness! - posted by Patsy on 12/2/2011
I like it!
I am a beginner with yoga. I did like it but I returned it for Rodney Yee's yoga for beginner. I needed that one more. But again, 5 stars for this one! - posted by Tana on 11/30/2011
Rodney Yee's Daily Yoga
I really enjoyed this DVD. It is challenging for beginners, but offers enough challenge for more experienced yoga fans. - posted by Beth Thompson on 11/26/2011
Rodney Yee's Daily Yoga
I am a fan of Rodney Yee as a yoga instructor. I started practicing yoga a couple of years ago and became hooked. I have many Rodney Yee DVD's. He is very calming, concise and easy to follow. These practices continue to take my flexibility further, relax my mind, and strengthen my body. I like the pace and the fact that each workout touches on different parts of the body and energizes me. I will continue to practice yoga as it is challenging, relaxing and energizing all at the same time. Colleen Saidman is also a very good instructor. I enjoy her technique very much. - posted by nancy on 10/6/2011
Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
