Time graph for Rodney Yee's Yoga for Beginners
A two-workout DVD with some unique features — a superb tutorial and a choice of audio tracks. The “pose guide” is exceptionally detailed. Rodney and Colleen Saidman show you the exact positions and movements for 20 classic yoga poses (do you really know how to do a proper sun salutation?). Those poses are then used in two easy-to-follow workouts: Rodney’s “energizing” program and Colleen’s “rejuvenating” program. Besides the normal, full-instruction audio track, you get two additional options. “Pose only” avoids distractions with limited cuing, while “inspirational” focuses on your mental attitude (e.g. mountain pose: “think about a strong, steady, majestic mountain”). Filmed in a beautiful oceanside setting. ©2009. DVD has: Chapter menus, Wide screen.

Rodney Yee's Yoga for Beginners

LOVE IT!
This is my first time ever doing yoga, and now I do it everyday. I loved this DVD! I thought the pose guide was great because it helped me get the most out of these poses. I like how it has a morning practice and an evening practice. Overall, it is wonderful! - posted by Michelle on 1/2/2010
GREAT video
This video is perfect for beginners. I love the pose guide and both Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman take extra care with instruction in the workout portions. I could just hug both of them! If you interested in Yoga, do yourself a favor and start with this one. - posted by Vataesque on 6/27/2009
best beginner yoga workout - EVER
I have bought many "beginner" yoga workouts hoping to learn about this practice, and been disappointed every time - until this DVD. Rodney and Colleen are excellent teachers, and there is a lengthy instructional section on poses which I find invaluable. I am a very experienced exerciser but DVDs like Element's Yoga for Beginners just left me frustrated as they went too fast and assumed too much. This DVD, on the other hand, has truly great instruction and I am enjoying learning the poses - properly with lots of great advice and detail, for example on errors to avoid. I haven't done the two workouts yet but will as soon as I am confident with my learning of the poses. I am looking forward to that soon. Highly recommend. - posted by Ann in FL on 4/4/2009

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
