Certified instructor description: A relaxing blend of yoga and tai chi that also includes traditional stretch and movement-therapy exercises. These gentle, smoothly-transitioned motions are guaranteed to reduce stress and improve flexibility. Of course, you'll get lots of classic poses like "warrior" and "cobra" plus "bow stance" and "snake creeping down." But Scott also boosts the effectiveness -- and fun -- with his own playful variations (e.g. "Asian Elvis" — a muscle-loosening shaking sequence). Throughout, the focus is always on your breath and your feelings ("don't rush, go at your own speed"). The program ends with a soothing guided meditation. DVD includes a "bonus" 14-minute ab toning workout. Quiet music. ©2011. DVD has: Chapter menus, Wide screen.

Scott Cole's Yoga & Tai Chi

Great YOGA DVD
I was looking for a yoga dvd that would not put me to sleep. This dvd fits the bill. Scott Cole is a great instructor and he can entertain you and still make you feel relax at the same time. If you are a beginner looking for a bit of a challenge then this dvd is for you. I'm trying to work up to doing this dvd at least 4x a week. - posted by Teresa on 3/1/2012
great video
Love this video for the day I don't use weights. Scott Cole has a very soothing manner and I would enjoy a class with him. I look forward to doing this exercise and would buy other videos by him. - posted by Mary on 2/2/2012
Great way to come down after a long commute.
Nice combination of yoga and tai chi. Soothing music. Great way to relax at the end of a tough work day. Instructor said all the right things and was even a bit clever. Enjoyed it! - posted by Vin on 1/4/2012
Loadsof fun!
I enjoyed this video immensely. I used to practice Ashtanga Yoga years ago, but became bored with it, partly because a lot of yoga instructors bore me to tears, and partly because of my somewhat hyper Type A personality. However, I have read so much about the success of Tai Chi in reducing stress (which I feel that I have an over-excess of), so I gave this a try. Scott is so unpretentious and fun, & the workout really seems to calm me and help me to unwind. I highly recommend it. - posted by Kim on 1/2/2012

Amazingly Relaxing
What a great way to relax. It is rhythmical and circular and complete. So very nice to do. - posted by Christa on 12/9/2011
Dimensional Relaxation Exercise
Originally, I purchased this exercise routine for myself, but ever since it arrived, my husband has been the fanatic about it. Usually, he isn't enthusiastic about pre-recorded exercise routines, but Scott's way of presenting the exercises is relaxing in and of itself - my 71-year-old husband actually starts yawning as he does the exercises. And he has been very pleased with the way the movements have helped loosen up his stiff muscles without a lot of intense and forced effort. - posted by Lynn on 12/4/2011
This is an excellent DVD for everyone
This is by far the best stretching video I have ever done. The music is soothing, Scott's cue is excellent and extremely easy to follow. Scott calm voice and laid-back style makes this video for anyone that want to stretch after aerobics and other workouts. I highly recommend this DVD for everyone. - posted by Sherry on 10/31/2011
It relaxes even as it invigorates
Perfect for an elderly housewife who's reasonably active. Not strenuous, but not sub-elementary and lethargic as many senior workouts are. Directions and comments are to the point and interesting enough that repetitions aren't stale. An excellent aspect is that the music is subtle and doesn't override the narration. - posted by Anita on 10/13/2011

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
