Certified instructor description: Not your standard yoga workout, this relaxation-focused program includes both seated and standing moves. You can follow the entire series or just use the exercises to de-stress your everyday life (e.g. seated at your computer, standing in your home). The chair-based segment features “real” yoga cuing and “real” yoga movements (e.g. Mountain Pose — you’re sitting down but your feet are still grounded and your alignment is still the same). The standing section includes balance, posture and lots of deep-muscle stretching routines. It all ends with a super-relaxing guided meditation. Excellent production, tranquil setting and quiet cuing by Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman. ©2008. DVD has: Chapter menus, Wide screen.

It was ok
The video was ok. I've had better videos by Rodney before. It seemed a bit too easy for me. - posted by Kirsten on 1/30/2011
Good video despite tech glitches
This video has found a place in my yoga rotation because of one simple thing: You can do the gentle standing portion without changing into yoga clothes. Great for busy days! However, I was disappointed in the technical quality of the video--the audio and video are not synchronized properly. Puzzling and annoying for someone of Rodney Yee's stature. - posted by Maggie on 1/4/2011
For Novice's Only
I was very disappointed in this video. Although it is described as a beginner level, I felt it was more of a "sit and be fit" video for seniors. I am 55 years old and would describe my yoga level as intermediate, but I still felt this video was way, way to easy. The description would have been more helpful to me if it had been described as yoga stretches because I did not feel that it was really a yoga workout. I have Rodney Yee's meditation video and the chair poses are much more challenging. This video is more for a novice (one step below beginner). - posted by Robin on 9/15/2010
loved this!
I am resuming yoga practice after many years; this dvd is a good way to get back to it again. I clean houses, drive a school bus route, so I need to work on the sore places, knots, tensions and fatigue from a day's work! The moves are easy to follow and the helps with the poses by either partner for the other, is good! I wish there was a break between the chair poses and the standing poses, sometimes I may not want to do both. I recommend this dvd. - posted by vanessa walters on 6/5/2010
Rodney is always good!
We really like this DVD. My husband has serious arthritis and felt so straight and tall after doing the work out. I would rate it more beginner/intermediate. Could be done anywhere, just as it says. I wish they had divided the work outs instead of running sitting and standing all together. - posted by Debbie on 9/1/2009
Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
