Certified instructor description: Two separate programs: back-to-the-basics aerobics and resistance-band toning. Designed for both fat-burning and body-shaping, it’s a comprehensive total-body workout by an experienced instructor (Tamilee starred in the original “Buns of Steel” videos and she was the 1993 IDEA Instructor of the Year). The aerobics is a motivating mix of classic cardio along with varied-pace intervals and even a few squats and lunges. The targeted toning features three 10-minute sections (the innovative upper and lower body routines all use the circular band — it works these muscles from varied angles in both the positive and negative resistance). It ends with Pilates-style abwork. Filmed on a beautiful Hawaiian oceanside setting. ©2004. DVD has:

Tamilee Webb's Defy Gravity |
    Liked it |
| Like some others have said, Tami's cuing is not the best, but the moves are super simple so it's not really much of an issue. The scenery is amazing and the music is OK. You can make it as intense as you want to which is why I will keep it. This one will work on days when I'm short on time but really want to push myself - just add impact and bigger moves. If I want to take it easy that's doable with this one too. Tamilee is encouraging and knowledgeable. - posted by Teresa on 12/22/2011 |

    not her best |
| I purchased this because it was listed as Int/adv and low impact. It is low impact but it should be listed as beginner. My heart rate never got above 119 even with adding more arm movements than she does. Also, there is no cueing at all!! The outdoor beach setting is lovely and I do like Tamilee in other workouts, but this is not her best. - posted by Trish on 7/19/2011 |

    Love this video, mostly |
| I bought this on VHS years ago and I just had to buy it on DVD. I love, love, love the resistance band toning workouts for the arm and legs. Someone else mentioned they didn't think they were challenging enough, but to that I reply, "Use a resistance band with a higher resistance level!" The aerobic workouts are OK, nothing too great, but I like the low impact nature. With the DVD it's easy to choose the workouts I want for the day & move through the menu. However, the best reason I like this video, is the outdoor setting. Few video producers seem to appreciate the value some of us living in northern climates place on exercising with an outdoor setting. - posted by Nancy on 2/24/2011 |

    Great video |
| I really liked this video. The cardio was interesting and Tamilee always has excellent cueing. The rubber band workout was good too. You get your money's worth. The scenery was spectacular and Tamilee is as engaging as always. - posted by Tipi on 3/24/2010 |

    Great workout! |
| I loved this workout - lots of options. Decent music and some surprisingly tough toning segments. - posted by Dissy on 12/28/2008 |

Good alternative for Gilad lovers |
| I love the cardio on this DVD. I've been working out with Gilad for years and enjoy his style and scenery, but now that I am over 40, I'm having trouble working out at that level (heart rate gets too high). This DVD has the same straight forward style and hawaiian scenery, but at a more managable pace for the 40+ women. It's rated intermediate/advanced, but I would rate it more beginner/intermediate as my heart rate stays around 125-130 for the duration. Highly Rcommended! - posted by beachgirl on 11/11/2008 |

    Fun Cardio |
| I don't do the toning segment. I really enjoy cardio that is lower impact that gets my heartrate up. This does the trick, is fun, and has beautiful production value with the Hawaiian background. I did take off a star for Tamilee's cuing, however. It's not the best. But, once you get used to the workout it doesn't matter as much and you can enjoy the cardio and the beach at the same time. - posted by Elaine on 10/21/2008 |

    Not Tamilee's Best |
| This is not one of Tamilee's best, and I also love Tamilee's workouts. But skip this one. The queing is poor and her intensity is low. Try her Total Assets Cardio Blast instead. - posted by Barbara on 3/26/2008 |

    Decent Workout |
| Tamilee is one of my favorite instructor's. I have and enjoy most of her workouts. However, with this workout her cuing is very off, and it kind of left me a little frustrated. Being a former dance instructor, I realize cuing is not the easiest thing to do. So if I am doing a workout and the instructor does not cue on time, I usually can figure it out based on just keeping up with the 8 count. But with this workout, that did not even help. One time she'll do 8 counts of something and the next time it will only be 4 counts or she would cue something and then would do something entirely different. With the power moves she would do more reps on one side than the other or totally omit the reps on the other side. I do love the Hawaiian scenery in this workout. And if you have a busy schedule, like most do, the workout is broken down into two 20 minute cardio sections, three 10 minute toning sections, and two five minute bonus yoga and abs sections. So, that is a plus. I still love Tami though!! - posted by De on 5/30/2007 |

    Disappointing |
| I am a huge fan of Tamilee, but was highly disappointed with this video. I did not find the toning challenging and her cuing in the cardio portion was way off. I'm sticking with her "I Want Those" series as well as her "Cardio Blast" tape-they always make me sweat and feel the burn in my muscles. - posted by Becky on 4/23/2007 |
