Time graph for The Biggest Loser: Cardio Max
Led by “The Biggest Loser” trainers, it’s a varied medley of calorie-blasting aerobic exercises. The programmable DVD lets you play any segment in any order. Or, you can choose one of the three progressively more challenging premixes (e.g. a 30-minute Level 1 program or a 50-minute level 3 workout). Bob Harper’s bootcamp segment features overhead arms and lots of full-body moves (it even includes optional dumbbells to boost intensity). Then it’s Jillian Michaels’ high-intensity, sports/athletic drills. Finally, Kim Lyons maximizes the fat-burning with non-stop kickboxing routines. You’re sure to be motivated by the trainers and by the exercisers — successful TV show contestants from seasons 3 and 4. ©2007. DVD has: 3 premixes (30 to 50-min. alternate workouts), Programmable chapters, Music only option, Region 1.

The Biggest Loser: Cardio Max

Cardio Max
Another winner from the Biggest Loser Collection. Love them all, so far. The nice thing about this dvd along with the others, is that it is not too "killer", and you can modify it to your level of fitness, as well as all the other ones. Personally, I don't have an issue with the different contestants not being all in sync with each other. That is not a distraction for me, but I guess it can be for others. I feel that any exercise in any of these dvds can be modified to different body types and fitness levels. From beginners, to advanced, it all works. - posted by Bev on 7/15/2010
One hell of a workout. Be ready for sore buns!!!
This workout is T-O-U-G-H, especially Jillians' section. I don't know why, but this workout kills my glutes more than any other workout. This workout is pretty solid, but it isn't my favorite. I go to it when I need a serious kick in the rear. No dancing, no mambos, just hard core cardio. One other thing: I'd like to see Jillian/Bob/Kim actually do the entire workout with the contestants. I know they're passionate about what they do, but a little less talking and more doing, please ;-) - posted by Laura on 7/9/2010
Jillian Michaels work outs
Oh boy is Jillian Michaels tough but she really works you, I love her work out tapes, everyday Monday through Saturday I workout with Jillian then I power walk, I lost so far 20 lbs. If anyone hasn't try her yet you should. - posted by Diane (rummyqueen) on 6/3/2010
Too Sloppy
Yes you can work up a good sweat but for me it's because I am having trouble following the moves. The instructors do not do the moves with the participants. They walk around and talk, talk, talk and you end up watching the moves of the other participants. The participants do not do the moves correctly and I end up getting confused. I do mostly intermediate to advanced workout videos and this one would be right up there if was taught by the instructor. - posted by Margaret on 4/6/2010
What a Sweat
Real athletic moves and weights highlight level one. I love it, it challenges me and is helping me get stronger while burning fat. There are no flailing arm moves and dub steps like in old style aerobics. Awesome workout. - posted by gjonisee on 3/31/2010
Pretty Good
I find challenging and fun. - posted by Lynne on 3/19/2010
Not bad!
Bob will get your heart rate up and Jillian will keep it there. Kim is a bit boring but I usually just add my own moves in, that keep my heart rate up. As far as the BL cast being all over the place, it's really not complicated choreography. So that aspect of the video doesn't bother me. Each instructor shows you each move so it's not difficult to follow through even when the rest of the cast is struggling. Bottom line, if scenery is really your main concern than maybe your not working out for the right reasons. This is a great workout. - posted by Vanessa on 3/5/2010
Good workout
This is a good cardio workout if you don't look at the Biggest Loser cast members. The trainers start the exercises but stop and let the camera span across the cast members; so you're forced to re-wind so that you can review the proper form when the trainers start the exercise. Then don't watch the cast because they're all over the place (some are going to the right while the others are doing the same exercise going to the left). But if you can get past all that you'll get a good workout. - posted by Linda on 1/24/2010
Good Work Out
I Thought this was a great work out, I love that it combines the cardio with the weights, for best effect. I Just love Bob on the 1st level, for me at more a beginning level ( I plan to alternate these workouts with lower impact ones ) I thought it was just right. I was worried because I do have knee problems but when they explained the correct way to do the moves, and included lower impact modifications (such as explaining it's ok to not go too low,or showing the jumping jack alternative) I found it was my muscles rather than my knees that was feeling it, which is as it should be. It's great for me to find a good cardio workout where you don't have to jump around like the energizer bunny :) I will be on level one for a while I think, after reviewing the other levels, which should serve me well for some time Like others I actually loved the fact that it was real people with real difficulties, as opposed to the perfectly in sync robotics of some of the videos out there. It demonstrated what Bob keeps saying, 'just keep moving if you can't do this yet you'll get there' and I enjoy the banter, but if I do get bored with it, there is a 'music only' option :) - posted by Jadia on 11/21/2009
Buy this DVD and get skinny!
This is a very good workout video for beginners, intermediate and advanced users. You don't need 60 minutes to burn fat, that person is wrong there. This is high impact and really gets you going, so what if a coupe of the Biggest Loser guys and girls get out of sync a bit and Bob isn't supposed to be doing the exercise the whole time. He is the Instructor and can walk around and instruct, he isn't making fun of anyone.... so many complainers here. This video is great, you can customize it with the warm up, cool down and 3 cardio sessions. I highly recommend this DVD. You wont be disappointed. - posted by Burt on 11/11/2009

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.
sample time graph
Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Premixes
X
These are alternate workouts created by the manufacturer. They use the same content as the main program (i.e. the very same video footage). But the sections are re-edited into pre-made alternative workouts that you select from a menu. These are often condensed versions of the main workout.
Programmable chapters
X
At the beginning of your workout, you can select the exact segments you want to play that day. The DVD will then play all those segments in the order you chose.
Music only option
X
This feature allows you to play only the music, without any cuing (after you’ve learned the movements and you just want to do the workout without listening to the instruction).
Region 1
X
This DVD is designed for US and Canadian DVD players. It will NOT play in most foreign country players.
