Time graph for The Firm: Cardio Party
A diverse mix of dance and fitness moves led by five Firm master instructors. Like all Firms, the cuing is clear and precise, but the mood is a little less “serious” than most Firms (like a true party, these exercisers are moving to the music and having fun). Each instructor teaches her favorite style — from athletic to kickbox, from Latin to funk. One minute you’re doing sexy hip rolls or choreographed cha chas, the next you’re doing high-intensity jacks or lunge-repeater-pulses. It’s all designed to raise your heart rate and keep you burning fat. Led by Allie DelRio, Alison Davis-McLain, Annie Lee, Emily Welsh and Rebekah Sturkie. Note: DVD previously released in the Firm’s “TransFirmation” kit. ©2007. DVD has: Spanish option.

The Firm: Cardio Party

Loved IT!
I thought it was a BLAST! I am into Jari Love these days and I needed just a straight cardio video when I am not lifting. Walking tapes bore me and move to slow. This one moves fast and is fun. Great for days when you just need some cardio and don't feel like "Walk, Walk, Walk"... - posted by SistaDiva2001 on 2/1/2010
Fun, Fun, Fun !!!
I can,t believe all the negative reviews on this workout, but I say to each his own. I personally LOVE IT !!! I love the fact that each section is led by a different instructor, so you get a taste of each instructors styles. All of my favorite instructors are there to lead me through an invigorating and fun workout. I do have to admit, Annie's portion was a little slow, but I just compensated by putting in plyos and upped the cardio. This workout went so fast because it was so much fun...I love this workout for a quick pick me up in the morning or if I just don't want to focus on anything intense...I LOVE this workout and am glad it came as a bonus...This is definitely a keeper... - posted by Jordan on 1/31/2010
I somewhat liked it Best for beginners
I liked it since I was more of a beginner and very overweight, yes it does seem to slow down towards the end but again it seems more for beginners and seems to be great to learn as your first Firm DVD so the other DVDs from the firm seem easier to grasp. - posted by Celeste on 1/19/2010
Somewhat disappointing
I have been a huge fan of The Firm for years. This workout is good for very light days when you don't want to do heavy cardio or use weights. I dislike when the instructors talk to each other, it sounds rehearsed and phony. This seems new to The Firm and I find it distracting and annoying. Emily and Allie and Allison are some of my favorite instructors, but I didn't like Allie's segment at all. But, the worst part of the workout is Rebekah's segment. Although the moves are fun, she is so incredibly boring! She talks in a monotone while she says "let's get down to it". She shows no enthusiasm and it sounds like she'd rather be somewhere else. Since my favorite portions of the workout are the first 2 segments (Alison and Emily), the second half with Rebekah's and Allie's segments totally drags. I will keep this in my rotation when I need a light workout, but it's not one of my favorites. - posted by Firm fan on 1/8/2010
Where's the Party?
I made it through about half of the video.. it's not particularly inspiring. Alison's moves are the same as on her "Cardio Dance Fusion" and I felt Rebekah's cuing was off. This workout did not flow very well and I think it would have been better to have broken it up into 5 separate workouts with the option to do each individually or mix and match. - posted by Anne on 12/31/2009
Corny and Slow Paced
I used to be fond of the Firm, but lately their quality seems to be slipping. I love Alison and Allie, but even they seem to be phoning it in on this one. The friendly banter sounds forced, and Annie is completely uninspiring. - posted by Brittany on 11/11/2009
Loved It!
I loved this workout. It is a great workout to do on the days I don't have alot of time. I thought every segment was fun, it makes me look forward to working out. I have been doing Firm workouts for 8 years. Keep um coming. - posted by Maureen on 9/30/2009
I liked it!
I'm not a huge fan of cardio but I love this DVD. It's fun easy to follow and gets the job done. My favorites are Emily with her standing ab workout and of course Allie. It's a great add on to the other DVDs in this series. - posted by Jennifer on 8/18/2009
too plain
This workout shouldn't even be called a workout. It is too plain and no heart pumping moves. It doesn't deserve 1 star. - posted by Sandra on 8/3/2009
Surprised I liked it!
I bought the cardio weights for my Mom and she does her own thing so I kept the videos they came with. It took me a long time to pull this one out due to all the negative reviews. When I finally did tonight, I LOVED IT! I own all of the newer firms, and yes, they did pull some moves from different videos but I didn't mind. I like the way each section is taught by a different lead, it made it move very quickly. My heart rate stayed up, and I had fun throughout. I do have to agree with some reviewers though that Annie just didn't seem to have it together.. her section, although the moves were ok, seemed uninspired and stiff. You get what you put into this video and can put more of a "bounce" to the movements to make it your own cardio workout. All in all, this one is a keeper for me... - posted by April on 7/9/2009

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
