Time graph for The Firm TransFirmer: Deluxe Add-Ons
These are the two videos that are included in The Firm: TransFirmer Deluxe Kit but are not included in the Firm: TransFirmer Basic Kit. Both videos, "Jiggle Free Arms" and "Jiggle Free Buns," use the TransFirmer Box. Each one is focused on a specific body part. They intermix intervals of fat-burning aerobics with intervals of targeted toning (both standing and floorwork). ©2005.

The Firm TransFirmer: Deluxe Add-Ons

kicks butt
I forgot how much I loved these workouts since I have been doing mostly pinks nowadays....I had put the step away and today took it out since I kinda was missing leg presses (there is no substitute) JFB adds a twist on them by floating your leg and it is intense. Definitely a lot of bang for your half hour. JFA is O.K. but only if you are going to do it as a add on. - posted by stacie on 3/29/2009
Two of the Best C+S EVER
I do these 2 workouts together for an hour of some of the best and most effective interval C+S exercises in my extensive collection. These workouts are fun, well-cued, complement each other really well, and EFFICIENT. The short sculpt segments allow you to go really heavy, and the cardio segments are not namby pamby stuff -- they get your HR up there. I highly recommend these 2 add ons. - posted by Sam on 9/30/2008
Love these!
Well, these are great workouts! They are both interval style, so you alternate a cardio segment with a toning segment. It really lets you use heavier weights during the weight sections since you are not trying to lift at a cardio pace. There is really no wasted time, just enough to move equipment in or out of the way. The lower body workout incorporates some lower body toning steps into the cardio, a nice touch. The upper body does not really do so, but Stephanie does incorporate plenty of arm motions into the cardio segments. The cueing is usually good but each workout has one song in which the cueing comes late. The steps are really simple though and after a few tries you'll get it. These two are great workouts and each covers the body half thoroughly. Two of my faves! - posted by Leeba on 7/16/2008
Fun, Fun, Fun
I recently got the Transfirmer workouts & have enjoyed them very much. These Jiggle Free workouts are must-haves in anyones library. You can use a regular step in you don't have the Transfirmer & you can also use the fanny lifter (but will have to modify). The incline is great & adds a nice dimension. Both DVD's have well sequenced alteration between cardio & toning. Stephanie & Pam do a great job cuing & the music is pretty good. There are some unique moves like the 'hot cross buns'& the push ups on the incline will give you an added challenge. I don't mind that they are shorter workouts. It provides great versatility to use as an add on to a cardio only workout or do both together for a highly effective, total body cardio/sculpt routine. - posted by Carol on 6/26/2008
These Were An Awesome Surprise!
I recently picked these up and did them together for the first time yesterday. They are perfect! The push-ups on the Transfirmer were intense. I cannot recommend them highly enough - posted by robin on 6/5/2008
Great addition to the TransFIRMer Series!
I love the TransFIRMer Series and it's no wonder these workouts are called "jiggle free"! Both workouts are challenging and switch between aerobics and toning. I could do without the pushups on the box during the arm workout (hurts my knees), and some of the steps are a little tricky with both workouts, but once you do them a couple times, you catch on. I like to combine them to get a full one-hour workout and a decent amount of cardio. - posted by Lana on 1/4/2008
Two great little workouts!
I have been wanting workouts that combine aerobics with separate upper and lower body weight routines for a long time. These fit the bill. I don't have the transfirmer step but I was still able to do them. They are a lot of fun. The set is light and airy. JFB has some innovative variations on squats and lunges that make them fun and interesting. JFA is also a lot more fun to do than previous Firm upper body workouts. My only complaint is that they weren't long enough. I would have loved to have each of them be an hour long so I could work the muscle groups to the fullest. - posted by Jane M. on 6/25/2007
Great Cardio/Sculpting Short Workouts!!!
As Collage states in their description of The Firm: TransFirmer (3 Workouts Only) "A regular Step will also work". I totally agree!!! I got a great workout using my Original Club Step. I put it in the positions just like in the workouts and got a great workout. So if you love The Firm but don't wish to spend too much money on extra equipment and workouts. Get this two pack set and get yourself The Firm: TransFirmer 3 Workouts Only set. With these five workouts and your regular step you will have lots of variety and fun. The music is really good. The cueing was really good and the pace of the step routines was really good. No dread factor. Solid intermediate workouts with no wasted time. Thanks to Collage for informing me that I could use my regular step and still do these great workouts. If Collage wouldn't have informed me I would have never bought these and the others!!! Thanks Collage for giving us these types of details in your description. - posted by NA/AWA on 6/18/2007

Gets Me Jiggle Free!
I LOVE these two workouts! Because each of them is 30 minutes I combine the two of them and use them every week as part of my workout regimen. I have to lift with my medium weights in JF Arms because of the reps that make the moves so hard to do, which I love. I also love all of the cardio segments in this DVD. What I love about JF Buns is that I can really heavy up on the weights. I also love the cardio in this video too, especially the segment on the incline. Those last sets of hover squats are the hardest to do because they are at the end of this workout. But that is what I like, a challenge! Super workouts that really get me "jiggle free". And these two workouts will get me there! - posted by Emily on 3/17/2007
Yes!
This one(Jiggle Free Arms) always kicks my but in 30 min! There is cardio, step, weights, dips, etc! It is a great workout with not a minute wasted! Good for the arms! I use 10lb, 8lb, and 5lb for the lightest shoulder work and wow! - posted by Tracy on 11/7/2006

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.
sample time graph
Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
sample time graph
Level
X
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Aerobics impact
X
Lower Impact: Both feet never leave the ground at the same time. This minimizes stress on your knees.

Higher Impact: Includes movements like jumps, hops and skips. Very high-impact is called plyometrics.

Mixed Impact: This alternates or combines the above styles.

Aerobics choreography
X
Basic: The easiest to follow. It ranges from simple walking-style marches to sports and athletic movements.

Complex: More intricate combinations and patterns. They're ideal for people who like to dance.

Moderate: More interesting than Basic, less dancy than Complex.

Toning emphasis
X
Upper body: Arms, chest and back.

Lower Body: Legs, thighs, hips and buttocks.

Abs: Abdominals (stomach), core and sometimes lower back.

Total body: Tones all three of the above muscle groups.

Step aerobics & toning
X
Definition: Includes two workout activities. The step aerobics segments involve stepping up and down on a platform. The moves range from simple stepping to more choreographed exercises. These segments require a step bench platform. The toning sections are slow, controlled movements working against resistance. These may include Pilates and weight training.

Benefits: The combination of both activities provides a balanced workout. The aerobics burns calories, strengthens your heart and increases stamina. The toning builds lean muscles, increases your metabolism and makes everyday activities easier.
