Certified instructor description: Non-stop, high-energy moves guaranteed to make you sweat — this really is a “kickbox challenge.” Every combination starts off quickly, then builds to an even greater intensity (e.g. faster tempo, larger range of motion, higher plyo-jumps). The moves are classic kickboxing/boxing. If your hands aren’t punching or jabbing, they’re blocking. If your legs aren’t kicking or jumping, they’re shuffling. Super-smooth transitions with excellent cuiing by three different instructors (Tracey, Josef Matthews and Jericho McDuffle). Each one has a distinct style and expertise (e.g. Josef demos the agility drills). Solid production, filmed in a boxing gym. ©2010. DVD has: 5 premixes (20 to 45 min. alternate workouts), Chapter menus, Wide screen.

Tracey Staehle's Cardio Kickbox Challenge

Good workout/terrible cuing!
Good workout, LOVE these instructors, they're very motivating. Unfortunately he cuing is very bad- its like they're making it up as they go. I do this one when I feeling patient about the lack of cuing. - posted by Marianne on 1/21/2012
Awesome!
I have no kickboxing background but could follow along with this one just fine. This is a tough workout physically with an emphasis on power. It's good for someone with no background like me because the form and technique are clearly shown and described so you won't injure yourself. Someone more experienced would probably get a lot of this too because it seems like "true" kickboxing, not the Hollywood kind if you know what I mean. I always feel awesome after this one! And it's fun, very good instruction. - posted by Soledad on 12/12/2011
Effective kickboxing workout
This is truly an effective kickboxing workout. I like the premixes that are available, when I am short on time. The moves are not too complicated and I really work up a great sweat. Great cuing done by all the instructors and also has great moving music. I wear weighted hand gloves while doing any of the workouts and this adds to sculpting my arms, shoulders and abs. Great workout, highly recommend! - posted by Joyce on 11/26/2011
FINALLY, FUN, HEART PUMPIN' KICKBOXING!
The positives in this workout far outweigh the negatives. So the cueing isn't the greatest or the production quality isn't the best, but it still is one of the most fun k/b workouts with great music that I own! I've tried a few new k/b workouts lately and some are at such a fast pace that they lack in the way of good form shown, but this one truly is outstanding with proper form and intensity. The high impact segment which Jericho instructs is fun and the high impact drills mixed in with the k/b combos really get my HR up. But I aspire to follow Josef with his impeccable form and was happy to see him back in this workout. Tracey also includes several premixes so you can choose the length of workout you are wanting. Super job, Tracey and crew! - posted by MRS on 11/19/2011
Good Overall Workout
This is my first video by Tracey and I really have enjoyed it so far. I like that there are options for the length and it has it enough higher intensity that I feel like I have gotten a cardio workout when it's over, and that's not always true of kickboxing workouts. I'm 43 and would call myself "almost" advanced. I don't regret this purchase. - posted by Jennifer on 11/7/2011
Great addition to your rotation
I was looking for a cardio DVD that gave me a good workout but didn't require weights or a lot of jumping for days when my muscles and joints needed a break. This DVD fits the bill; the complete workout is about 60 minutes long and does a good job of keeping my attention by mixing up moves and intensity. It's not exceptionally challenging but does keep my heartrate up and doesn't have the problem I see with a lot of DVDs where the instructors make you pause for lengthy explanations of the combos. There are three instructors: Tracey, Joseff, and Jerico, who rotate throughout the video to guide you. The moves were basic, well-mixed (with upper and lower body) and easy to follow; all in all a good routine if you're looking to have fun and sweat a lot but not get your heart blasting out of your chest. There are options suggested for taking it easy or amping it up with plyometrics. It also allows you to chose from premixes of 20, 30, or 40 minutes for days when you're short on time, and there is a bonus abs/upper body section. - posted by Heidi on 11/5/2011
True Cardio Kickboxing workout
If you are looking for a real kickboxing workout , this is the one for you. This is all cardio with no weights. I have been in a kickboxing class at the gym for 8 years and have been looking for a video to do when I can't get to the class. This will most definitely do the trick. I love this workout. - posted by Suzi on 7/16/2011
great workout
Love this one- I also like alot of the premixes avail- for when I am short on time & want to get some cardio in. I am thoroughly sweating when I am done- the moves are not too complicated which I like-I was able to keep up the 1st time I did this video- of course not perfectly the 1st time- though at least I did not have to stop & watch account of being confused. Love this one- it is a keeper. - posted by donna on 6/24/2011
Great Workout !!!
I think this workout is absolutely fabulous. I am 58 years old and am getting the workout of my life. The music makes it even more fun. Whoever is her music producer knows how to step it up. I hope she does more kickboxing DVD's with the same type of moving music. Bravo to you Tracey. - posted by Joanne on 6/5/2011
Not as challenging as I thought it would be, but is a good cardio workout.
Overall this is a good cardio workout, but it isn't as challenging as I thought it would be. I like to do it on my easier cardio days. I am 29 and work out six days a week and enjoy a good tough workout that makes me sweat. - posted by Kimberly on 4/28/2011

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Premixes
X
These are alternate workouts created by the manufacturer. They use the same content as the main program (i.e. the very same video footage). But the sections are re-edited into pre-made alternative workouts that you select from a menu. These are often condensed versions of the main workout.
Chapter menus
X
You can play only the individual workout segments you want by picking them off a chapter menu (one at a time).
Wide screen

The program fully fills a wide-screen television screen. Note: These videos will display black bars at the top and bottom on a traditional 4 x 3 ratio TV screen.
