Tracy Anderson's Metamorphosis - Omnicentric
|Tracy Anderson is abysmal!|
|I am a CPT and wanted to check out for myself "The Tracy Anderson Method" because I have so many clients asking about it. I don't like to comment on anything that I am not educated about.
The first and biggest problem I have with Tracy Anderson is her absolute emphasis on being "as tiny as possible" and the never ending monologue around being skinny and tiny. That using more than 3 pound weights will build your muscles to a point that your skin will stretch and never return. Science shows that the average woman does not have enough testosterone in her body to bulk. If a woman is bulky chances are she really had to work at getting there. It breaks my heart that someone is getting so much air time stressing being tiny instead of healthy.
Second there is virtually no direction or support from her during the exercise process. Though there could be some benefit to some of the mat exercises, if done properly, she does not take the time to direct and support the viewer in proper form and function with exercises. In my opinion some of the exercises are just poor form and could create problems for even the most fit of viewers.
Last but not least when it comes to the cardio part of metamorphosis it appears we are just supposed to dance around and look cute with absolutely no direction. I am pretty sure I can do that on my own without spending money on a video.
I wish I could say that I felt differently but if you are interested in this kind of exercise I encourage you to invest in some great Pilates or barre videos. They will bring you better results. - posted by Aimee on 1/10/2014|

|I bought this workout video set because it looked like it would really work. When I got it I didn't like it. She doesn't give you instructions when she is doing the workout, she doesn't count so I am constantly having to look at the video to see if she changed the moves. - posted by Barbara Mertz on 9/27/2013|
|Not the matwork video for sure|
|I wanted to love this series, and the mat/floorwork parts, 30 minutes each, are great much like the 60 minute matwork video. The dance cardio portion just didn't do it for me. I'd rather do step, power walking, walk/run, tabata, or swmming for an hour of cardio conditioning than the dance portion of this video. I wanted to keep it just for the variety of 30 minute floor/mat routines, which are great and get harder as you progress, but the total cost of the video just didn't make it cost effective for me. Sorry Tracy. I'll continue with your mat workout, which I LOVE, and do my own cardio conditioning. It seems to be working! - posted by Sara on 9/12/2013|

|yes tracy offers very little cuing, yes tracy gives little if any direction, but if you want a dvd series that will change your body, then this is for you. With a little patience the moved will become easier to do, and you will get used to no cuing. Just give it a try . - posted by melisa on 9/4/2013|

|Worst video I have ever bought|
|I have been teaching for over 30 years,,, this video should not be advertised as an exercise video, No where can it be found what fitness qualifications Tracy has other than looking good. She does so many moves that are incorrect and could hurt a beginner who does not know the difference. I was very very quick in returning this video and will never buy another one of hers. |I just love this routine! I am an advid exerciser at the advance intermediate level, and this is a hard and intense workout on the gentle side. I have been doing this routine (muscular structure) for one month now and I have actually lost inches!!!! My arms getting sleeker, thighs slimming, ad my but is lifting. I feel lifted and tall. Using her routines as actually helped me with my other aerobic and barre routines. The only thing I do not like about program, is her dance cardio routine. It is 30 minutes of jumping!!! I tried it twice and it is just not for me - she is not even in beat with the music. However, I will try the dance cardio again and try playing my own music and see what happens. |Metamorphosis - Abcentric|
|I purchased the Abcentric workout. It's hard work, a lot of reps and at times my legs hurt but in 10 days I noticed results that I have not gotten with other workouts and I have tried a lot of workouts. I've lost inches and feel great. I play my own music and do Tracy's moves. I'm 52 years old and I love to dance so I really let go. I enjoy working the smaller muscles. I tend to get bulky when I work the large muscles. Stick with it, you will see results. - posted by Annemarie on 6/27/2013|

|Gives you amazing results|
|Tracy's style is very different than most conventional exercise styles. She works the small muscles. It does take time to learn the moves, but when you do, the results are transforming. You will be pulled in, stronger, lighter. META starts you on this journey of 90 days. But it truly is a lifestyle change that will keep you there. Omni centric works the whole body. The mat work is longer moves, planks etc... The cardio you'll have to learn with practice. Then you turn on your own music and dance away. The key to her success is the 10 day routine change.
