Time graph for Valerie Bertinelli - Losing It and Keeping Fit!
Two no-nonsense programs designed to reshape your entire body (they must work — at 49 years old, Valerie looks fit and fabulous). The workouts are structured as a progression — you’ll start with the begin/inter-level “Losing It” and advance to the slightly harder “Keeping Fit.” Both programs are led by Christopher Ross, Valerie’s personal trainer. He’s “results focused,” but always friendly and supportive with very clear cuing. The exercises are fast-paced and non-stop (no wasted time). They include a motivating blend of classic and new moves— from pushups and squats to rotations and side planks. The “Keeping Fit” workout uses 2 to 5 lb. dumbbells. ©2009. DVD has: Wide screen, Region 1.

Valerie Bertinelli - Losing It and Keeping Fit!

Disappointed
I am disappointed. My case says that this has two workouts. The first one being 20 minutes and the second being approx. 40 minutes with cardio "bursts." Much to my dismay when I played this DVD for the first time the second workout was only approx. 30 minutes with no cardio "bursts." That was specifically why I bought the video. Had it been packaged the way the one on this page is I would have known better. This video is really for beginners or maybe on light days. I will give it 3 stars because I absolutely love Val and I know this isn't her fault but I'm really upset that I bought this and wasted my money. - posted by Missy on 11/10/2009
Not that bad!!
I don't understand the negative comments. The exercises on these two workouts are actually pretty good. I used dumbbells or increased the weights on many of the exercises to increase the intensity. I workout to Jari, Kelly, and Cathe, and I still enjoyed many of the exercises. They really don't require a lot of cuing, you just follow along. The worse part of the DVD is Valerie's silly nervous chatter. He is her personal trainer so she is just bantering with him. However some of her comments are inappropriate (complaining, "do I have to?" and sometimes her form is bad and he doesn't correct it), but if you ignore that, and just get into the workout, its pretty good for an easier day. I liked the way I felt after, stretched out and I could tell I had worked out. I like Valerie because I also lost 40 lbs on Jenny Craig, as she did. However, for her next video, I hope she learns when she should keep her mouth shut and just smile. She grimaces even on the easy stuff - as if she has just started exercising. Also, she keeps telling her trainer, yes I feel it, as if she is irritated by him, when really he is talking to us, those doing the workout. Aside from these negatives, I actually enjoyed the workouts. I think it is strange though that they would put out a 20 min and 28 min workout when they have advertised on the cover, a 40 min workout. If the covers were done, I think he could have turned it into a 40 min workout for us! Maybe next time? For a trainer, he's not bad, but Valerie really needs to tone down her comments. She's trying to be funny, but it only goes so far. - posted by Cheryl on 11/4/2009
No Cuing
This dvd is terrible. The trainer doesn't cue you at all, doesn't tell you how many reps you're going to do, doesn't explain the exercises and basically the entire dvd is about squats and lunges. It's very disappointing that the manufacturer, who is known for quality products, released this just because of the star and not for the quality of the workout. - posted by Sandy on 10/29/2009
So Sad
Well I guess this only goes to prove anyone can make an exercise video. This is the worst display I have seen since Ryan Shanahan and his KettleWorX. Waste of time and as a trainer I am appalled that you carry this video. - posted by Lynn on 10/28/2009
valerie bertinelli losing it.
This is not an intermediate workout. its way to easy. Its definitely a beginner workout. also I did not like the fact that they did not add stretches for your biceps or triceps or for that matter any stretches for your upper body. also it is very slow paced. i like workout that is faster paced. - posted by jackie on 10/23/2009 [note from Collage] This video is slightly different than the version released earlier by by Jenny Craig (same footage, but edited differently). This customer review must refer to the earlier version because the new one is not released until Nov. 3rd.

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
