Video Stride: Hawaii

Where was the scenery?
Instead of showing scenic Hawaii, the viewer is treated to some resort in Hawaii. Almost the entire video is of the paved walkway of some hotel in Hawaii, and probably of the hotel that put up the film crew. This dvd is a rip off!!! If all you want to see is a sidewalk while you're exercising then go for a walk around your block. But if you want to see some beautiful scenery while you're working out to help take your mind off your drudgery, try something else!!! - posted by Simon on 8/8/2008

don't buy it
It has nice scenery. What is frustrating is I want to walk at the same pace as the walkers which should be to the beat of the music. They are totally different paces so I find myself getting frustrated and quit watching. - posted by Laurie Hughes on 9/29/2006
I like it
I've had this video for a few years and I still find it motivational. I run outside in the summer and need something to get me through the long winter. The scenery is lovely although not exactly what I expected. I agree with the other critic that those occasions (it's not constant) when the people are walking in front of you, I keep thinking, I am so much faster than you I would have passed your butts long ago. I get so into the scenery that I feel like I'm going around the corners with them and have to remember to keep walking straight! All in all I like it and my children (9 and 11) use it now and then when they can't get outside due to the bad weather. They say they feel like their on vacation. They're right! - posted by LisWor on 3/18/2004
I love this video!
This video has been the only thing to get me on the treadmill. I have to order it a 2nd time because my husband lost my 1st one. It is worth it to buy it again!! I will try another treadmill video soon but I know that this one will always be my favorite. Hawaii is paradise! My dream is to go there to live!I highly reccommend this video. Blair Witch goes to Hawaii
What were they thinking?!!! I bought this to watch while using my treadmill. The entire workout is the camera person walking and filming the backs of two people walking in front of you. I couldn't stop thinking how badly I wanted these people out of my way. I gave it another attempt by leaving it playing while I did yoga, sort of like background scenary, still useless. - posted by papaya on 2/27/2002
Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
