Time graph for Yoga Zone's Flexibility & Tone
From his nationally-acclaimed New York studio, Alan Finger clearly displays his 30 years of yoga teaching experience in this very “approachable” video. Alan always just seems to know what you’re feeling and doing during each pose (so his soft voice can gently guide you from there to the proper form). It’s totally non-intimidating (e.g. “Don’t worry about the range; it’s the form you’re going for”). Sometimes encouraging you to “tighten up” and sometimes to “just let go,” Alan will carefully guide you through a series of classic flexibility and strengthening poses. Has modifications including “more flexible” and “less flexible” alternatives. Quiet music. ©1998. (53 min.). DVD has: Chapter menus.

Yoga Zone's Flexibility & Tone

Love Yoga Zone
Easy to follow and a good yoga workout. A good introduction to yoga. I'm now looking to collect all the yoga zone videos! - posted by Joyce on 11/23/2008

Newbie to Yoga
I am a total newbie to yoga. I have bought another dvd a few months back and hated it. I tried a beginners class at work and liked it but they only had one class and I am not confident enough to do the "real" thing. I was online and I just bought this DVD. I found it to be very good. The instruction is well done. While he does talk, it's not enough not to make you annoyed and I found his voice to be very soothing. - posted by Jennie on 6/27/2005
Another Great Yoga Practice by Alan Finger/Yoga Zone
This one, like the Conditioning one, is just a wonderful yoga practice. Alan Finger's warm style and sense of humor are a welcome addition. The workout stretches you out nicely, has some nice strengthening poses in there, and I just love the whole look of it and how it was put together. Another of my favorites I do often. - posted by Sandra on 3/15/2004
By far
In my opinion this is by far one of the best yoga videos on the market! Always a favourite tape to use. Easy poses that are gentle and relaxing. - posted by Lori K on 10/2/2002
Terrific Tape
This is a terrific tape even for beginners. Alan is so complete and understandable with his directions that I was able to get into positions I never dreamed possible 1st time thru. Very friendly format, you won't feel stupid or out of shape. Great for self esteem. Recharges all the batteries. - posted by Paula on 8/25/2002
Friendly Yoga
I got this tape to have on hand when I need a easy yoga workout between classes. This is the first tape I've tried from Yoga Zone and I think it is really good. The instruction is clear and straightforward. Beginning yogis get suggestions for easing in to postures. Best used with a tapas mat, strap, blanket and other yoga props. - posted by Anastasia on 1/20/2002

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
