Qualifications: Certified by AFAA. Fitness professional since 1985. National Sport aerobics Champion. Registered Dietitian with Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition (Florida International University).
Personal History: I first developed a love for fitness and sports at the very early age of three when I first started to swim. I grew up competing in synchronized swimming at the national level. It was synchronized swimming that helped me decide the college that I would attend - the University of Arizona where I swam competitively at the NCAA level. I also became part of the dance squad for football and basketball games (I was part of a five member dance squad that was selected for two years to attend all the NCAA Basketball National Tournament games, including the Final Four in 1989). It was at the U of A in 1985 where I became involved with aerobics and fitness. I was encouraged to start teaching aerobics at the student recreational center, because of my dance ability and great quality to motivate and encourage others to stay active and fit.
Workout Philosophy: Never underestimate what your body can do; always strive for new limits. You can do anything you set your mind to do - all you need is determination from within!
Success Story: A note from one of my students: "Giselle has really inspired me to get into shape. Her high-energy workouts have brought me to a new level of cardio fitness in a short period of time. I feel much fresher during the day having burned calories and worked out with her routine."
