Qualifications: Accredited yoga instructor, certified by Yogaehanya B.K.S. Iyengar (Namamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India).
Personal History: I meditated with Sufi Master Samuel Lewis in San Francisco. Within a few years, I was teaching yoga and, in 1976, met Indian yoga master, B.K.S. Iyengar. In 1985, I founded the B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga Center of Greater Boston.
Workout Philosophy: Consistency is more important than anything else. Even if it's for five minutes a day, practicing builds up a vibration in your body and, if you miss one day, your body misses it. Any amount of yoga daily has a positive effect.
Sucess Story: A new yoga beginner wrote me and said that yoga has changed her life for the better. She could barely move before she did my video, Yoga Practice for Beginners.
