Personal History: I discovered yoga while I was at university and started teaching yoga in 2000. I began as an ashtanga teacher and over time started to diversify blending different styles. I now teach a vinyasa flow style of yoga. I love to teach yoga as it not only makes people feel stronger and healthier but it always improves their mood and outlook on the world. It has amazing effects on the body but also on the mind.
Workout Philosophy: Exercise is important to stay healthy and improve energy but it is also essential for our state of mind. I design my yoga sequences here according to the elements - Earth, Water/air and fire. Each of the elements has a different effect on our mind and bodies and we can achieve more balance in our lives if we tune into these elements. I don't feel I have to motivate people in yoga as the feeling after each session is enough to make people want to do it again!
