Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Toning Emphasis: Total Body

Upper body: Arms, chest and back.

Not just a “core” workout. Instead, each eight-minute section targets a specific body part: abs, legs, buns or arms (plus a very relaxing total-body stretch). Each section features a motivating countdown timer and 9 to 16 different exercises. You're never bored — in just 30 to 50 seconds, you'll move on to something new. The three exercisers also teach at different levels so it's easy to match the move to your ability (e.g. follow the beginner level for planks and the intermediate level for crunches). With Andrea Bernard's classic moves and her straight-forward cuing, this is a great intro to body sculpting. ©2005.
