Full Backcover Description
If you want to blast fat, firm up & de-stress, this all-in-one workout is perfect for you!
Don’t worry – Yogini Workout is not a yoga class. It’s a workout that utilizes just a pinch of power yoga, along with core-Pilates & bootcamp style energizers, for the ultimate belly buns and thighs blitz. No equipment necessary, no shoes required.
This signature Studio workout is challenging yet relaxing. Can exercise & tranquility co-exist? Yes! And you won’t believe how good you feel when they collide! We begin with breathing invigoration, flow into a 30-minute zenful standing series, then spend 15 minutes on the mat, targeting our ‘trouble’ spots – the belly, buns & thighs. The workout is 45 minutes total, moderately tempo-ed -- and suitable for all fitness levels.
Ellen Barrett: I’ve been obsessed with creating the perfect workout since I started teaching fitness as a college freshman. I’ve never lost sight of the real reasons for working out -- to look better (body), to feel better (mind) & to be better (spirit). This is why I created The Studio. I wanted a modern and elegant setting to celebrate mind/body fusion fitness.
As a book author, best-selling DVD star, Lifetime TV’s fit-pro and successful studio owner, I consider my mission to be groundbreaking – I’m pioneering the new age of fitness. The Studio is my laboratory. With this DVD, I’m inviting you to come get fit with me in my workout utopia.

Classic yoga poses subtly intensified with Pilates and body-sculpting techniques. You get the flexibility benefits of yoga plus the firming benefits of muscle toning. Ellen begins each series with a basic yoga pose like cobra, down dog or warrior. Then she smoothly and naturally blends in the muscle toning (e.g. a warrior evolves into a lunge; a chair pose gets some pulses; a cobra becomes a plank). It's all fast-paced and fluid with seamless transitions (and lots of relaxing between-move stretches). Ellen's calm, thorough cuing makes it easy to follow. Quiet instrumental music. ©2008.
