This 22 minute COPD workout features a series of breath and beginners exercise routine focused on increasing lung strength and capacity. While the need to learn breathing techniques may be obvious, exercise is just as vital a component to living; failure to regularly exercise leads to even weaker levels of lung strength! Suzanne's Andrews, Occupational Therapy Practitioner with the popular Functional Fitness Public Television series, guides you with breath and body exercise routines that combine efficiency with simplicity of execution, leading to improved breathing. Suzanne also includes an additional 10 minute energy conservation techniques to improve your ability to cook, dress, play with your pet and more to help you stay active and get more enjoyment out of life. Light hand weights are used or substitute with soup cans.

By focusing on progression of strengthening your breathing muscles through a combination of medically proven leg strengthening and walking moves integrated with arm strengthening and breathing exercises, COPD 2 helps restore and maintain your quality of life.  Filmed on a beautiful Florida riverfront, this 36 minute bonus workout features guided pulmonary therapy breaks to check your oxygen level and heart rate. Light hand weights are used.
