Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.
Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).
Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Two half-hour programs to get you 'event' ready in just one week. You'll be doing AM toning and PM cardio everyday. Jillian cuts you no slack in either of the sessions – you will get cardio benefit during your morning toning and there is some toning benefit built into the cardio segment.
There are two class members in each of the workouts one offers an easier version and the other a harder version of each move that Jillian demonstrates. You will be 'pushed' and 'motivated' by Jillian's familiar in-your-face presence as she moves between the exercisers giving direction. She has promised you results and she is there ready to push you toward your goal – you don't get much time so she wants you to focus in on the desired end result and work hard – after all, this is for YOU!
Each of the workouts have multiple circuits which are made up of 4-6 moves and repeated twice. During the toning each exercise is made up of compound-muscle movement— pendulum lunge w/halo chop; down dog/bear pike push-up; sumo squat w/tricep extension; even the ab work is 'active' with supermans; side oblique planks w/press; crunch into a Russian twist. The cardio is basic and athletic – in Jillian's world that means it's tough – full of moves that serve dual purpose – there is no warm-up because the whole program is cardio, so it moves right into jogs, high knees, half squats w/punch jabs and there is no going back - you are in for 30 minutes of high calorie burn, heart pounding movement. These moves will have you up and down from the floor, they are quick paced, demanding your full attention. (other moves: jump rope; skaters; squat thrusts(plank/tucking knees to chest then kicking them back out); speed bag punches; 'rock-star' jumps(jump-tuck squats); thrust kicks; 'bear' (plank w/twist-tap); one-arm burpees; circle runs) there is a lot of variety but the moves are all explosive - doing double duty – getting the heart rate high and engaging a lot of large muscle groups just to 'perform' the move. It all ends with dynamic stretching – these stretches start with motion and end with a hold.
