Two classic yoga programs taught "fitness style" -- straight-forward, non-mystical cuing. These workouts combine beautiful photography with a down-to-earth, non-intimidating style (e.g. “it's okay if you have to bend at the knees…”).Kathy -- and her co-instructor, Rod Stryker -- feature clear instruction with lots of flexibility/level options (e.g. using a stretched towel to hold your leg in position).
The first program, “New Yoga” is an intermediate level workout. The poses range from easy stretches to a few more intense positions (e.g. standing on one leg).
The second program, “New Yoga Challenge” is harder. It's power yoga -- a flowing series of athletic-style poses that often incorporate a significant toning element (Kathy calls it, “yoga gut work”).
This DVD also includes a 30-minute traditional toning workout. Compilation released in 2006 from programs originally copyrighted in 1994-1996.
