The first beginner/intermediate level workout is "classic Dummies" (similar to the "Dummies" books). It’s specifically designed for anyone new to Pilates. As you practice the moves, you’ll also get explanations of terminology, tips on form, common mistakes to avoid and lots of harder/easier modifications (using on-screen inserts to show alternate positions without obstructing the main workout). By setting a realistic pace and avoiding confusing jargon, Michelle Dozois makes this an effective Pilates workout (besides being a great way to learn). The second, intermediate-level workout builds on what you’ve learned in the first. It moves along with less instruction and slightly harder routines. Very quiet background music. ©2001.
