Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.
Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).
Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

A fast-moving series of Pilates-style matwork that incorporates a handheld ball for maximum effectiveness. In addition to adding resistance, the weighted ball also encourages a slower, more controlled pace. All the exercises are Pilates-based. While they're mostly classics like The Hundred, Teaser and Mermaid, you also get updated variations like a “Pilates bicep curl.” The transitions are smooth and Bernadette Giorgi's form is perfect (it's easy to see her dancer's training). Varied music, from vocals to Asian instrumentals. Requires a 2 to 5 lb. handheld ball. ©2009.
