Zero to Sixty Low Impact with Weights is an invigorating 60 minute workout with continuous weight work. Pick up the weights at the warm-up and continue moving and lifting until the cool down. Throughout the workout basic low impact cardio choreography is supplemented with light and heavy weights to strengthen and sculpt the body while burning fat tat the same time. Cardio/light weight and stationary/heavy weight intervals are spaced throughout the workout to further focus on fat burning and streamlining. A bonus abdominal section rounds out the workout.
Sharon Twombly is a practicing physical therapist with a Master Degree in Biomechanics. Sharon is the owner and president of Thrive Physical Therapy, Inc. She has been a fitness model in over 25 fitness videos and has been featured in CIA 9904, 2704, 2604 and 2804 workouts. Sharon is an ACE certified instructor and teaches fitness classes on the Main Line in the Philadelphia suburbs.
Sharon Twombly's Zero to Sixty
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.
Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).
Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.
Aerobics Impact: Lower
Lower Impact: Both feet never leave the ground at the same time. This minimizes stress on your knees.
Higher Impact: Includes movements like jumps, hops and skips. Very high-impact is called plyometrics.
Mixed Impact: This alternates or combines the above styles.
Aerobics Choreography: Moderate
Basic: The easiest to follow. It ranges from simple walking-style marches to sports and athletic movements.
Complex: More intricate combinations and patterns. They're ideal for people who like to dance.
Moderate: More interesting than Basic, less dancy than Complex.
Toning Emphasis: Total Body
Upper body: Arms, chest and back.
Lower Body: Legs, thighs, hips and buttocks.
Abs: Abdominals (stomach), core and sometimes lower back.
Total body: Tones all three of the above muscle groups.
