Three rounds of traditional kickboxing and three rounds of fighter-style boxing — “lose pounds in six rounds!” It’s all designed to keep you mentally engaged with precisely choreographed moves and music . Each segment builds in intensity. For example, the first kickbox interval has basic, mostly low-impact moves. The third sequence includes hops and “jumping front kicks.” The boxing series has a similar progressive format. In addition, it’s cued to feel like a real fight. You’ll be throwing punches — and eluding your opponent with boxers’ footwork — all cued to “win the match!” The program ends with abdominal floor exercises. Weighted gloves or 1 lb. dumbbells are optional. ©2013.
