Qualifications: Has taught fitness for 15 years. Has starred in over two dozen exercise videos. Certified by AFAA. Received IDEA's Lifetime Achievement award for 2003.

Personal History: By the time I was 20 years old, I'd lost both my parents - my father to a heart attack, my mother in a plane crash. I had lost everything and my life was in ruins. Instead of depression, I found solace and satisfaction in exercise. First, I ran 1 mile, then 5, and, in 1975, I finished the Honolulu Marathon. After graduating from college, I moved to LA and started teaching fitness classes.

Workout Philosophy: You need to integrate exercise with stress reduction, weight maintenance, and emotional well-being to obtain a total healthy lifestyle.

Success Story: Cindy Taylor writes: "I used to weigh 215 pounds when I was pregnant with my son. By using your videos, I now weigh 128 lbs. You've inspired me - at age 31, I'm still going after 8 years of exercise and hope to be as good as you when I'm 40."
