Personal History: I started gymnastics and dance at the age of four. I went on to compete at the World Level in Power Tumbling at the age of 12. My father was a high school football and baseball coach, so I grew up watching sports and participating in them. I love sports for the competition and the challenge. I also went on to be a cheerleader and a cheerleading coach (I dare you to say cheerleading isn't a sport!). I married my high school sweetheart...who writes horror movies. We moved from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles seven years ago and now we have two beautiful daughters - Bella and Ava.
Workout Philosophy: Exercise should be fun, challenging, stress-free, and a necessary-but-rewarding part of life. Fitness is about quality of life and health. It’s about making your body the best that it can be, inside and out.
Sucess Story: I recently helped a first-time half-marathoner, who was suffering from painful shin splints, to not only complete her race, but do it in record time. I recommended ice and specific stretches for her shins as well as a detailed crosstraining routine to keep the impact on her shins down, but keep her intensity and training levels up, so that she was ready to rock, come race day.
