Debbie and Donna Lim

Debbie and Donna Lim

Qualifications: Certified by AFAA

Personal History: We are identical twins and known as "the Lim Twins" in the fitness industry (Debbie is on the left, Donna on the right). Born to Asian immigrants and raised in the heart of Detroit, Michigan, we are products of a very strict and complicated upbringing that resulted in us residing in various children homes, and ultimately being on our own at 15½ years old. At times we were homeless during our journey of finding our way. This experience lead us to concentrate on helping other people (as the system helped us) and felt fitness was the perfect answer, especially since we have a passion for fitness!

We are both strongly rooted in aerobics, weight training and, of course, dance and have taught for over 32 years. We had discovered yoga/mat types of training and meditation/relaxation, as well as boxing and Tai Chi (we used to watch our Grandfather do Tai Chi). When we combined the techniques together, Z-Box Fitness was born! (The "Z" stands for Zone + Envision + Nature).

Workout Philosophy: We feel that working out should not be "work". It should be something fun, challenging and interesting enough for the person to WANT to keep doing daily!
