Qualifications: Certified by ACSM. Pilates certified by Physical Consciousness Studios. Trained in yoga at Earth's Power Yoga Teacher Training Workshop.
Personal History: My background includes competitive gymnastics, dance, flying trapeze, and acrobatics. I spent five years as a performing member of DIAVOLO, a critically-acclaimed nationally-touring professional dance company. I've worked as a trainer, movement instructor, and choreographer at UCLA, Loyola Marymount University and performing arts programs throughout the country. Currently, I own and teach at a private Pilates studio located in San Francisco.
Workout Philosophy: I aspire to teach you to be the best 'you' possible. I seek to help you exercise with precision, focus, and form, thereby yielding fast results and helping you to gain better body control and awareness. I want you to TAKE OWNERSHIP of your body, so you feel empowered by the new knowledge you've gained and the new feeling and strength you've experienced. I want to help you TRANSFORM your relationship to exercise, so that you look at fitness as something you DESIRE to do, not something you're obligated to do. Exercise is ESSENTIAL to quality of life and physical and mental health and it is my deepest hope that you not only learn about yourself and your physical potential, but that you truly enjoy the journey.
