Qualifications: Certified by ACE as a group instructor and personal trainer.
Personal History: My background in physical training was with competitive gymnastics as a child and competitive cheerleading during high school and college. Thus, coaches and trainers had always dictated my workouts. After college, I turned to aerobics and the fitness profession as a way to better understand my body and to take personal charge of my health and fitness and, as a result, to take charge of my life.
Workout Philosophy: I try to encourage my clients and students to consider exercise as a ritual that they celebrate each day or several times per week. I think that humans are meant to move a little bit each day. When we do this on a consistent basis, we feel better - physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Sucess Story: My sister, Serena, is my favorite success story. We had an opportunity to work out and inspire each other while attending nearby schools. I had fallen in love with working out and shared my excitement with her. Serena began taking classes and followed some of my programs, which then sparked her enthusiasm to learn more herself. Now, she shares her workouts and nutritional gems with me. Fitness is a great way to bond with friends and family.
