Qualifications: Certified by NSCA as a Sports and Conditioning Specialist. Graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Exercise Science and Dance from Ithaca College in New York.
Personal History: I was involved in dance and cheerleading from a young age and participated in various sports, always choosing to remain active. I loved being creative in my dance activities. I applied my passion throughout college — choreographing and dancing with the college dance company, and in numerous outside productions. As I pursued my degree, I began teaching a variety of fitness classes. I was selected as the Group Fitness Director and head instructor at the college. After graduation, I moved to Nashville and continued working in the field of fitness and health (while also refining my Ballet Body method and elongation techniques). I moved to Los Angeles to debut my Ballet Body class teaching and training at various fitness studios in the West Hollywood area. Expanding the application of my training techniques, I started working with youth and professional athletes including NFL players from the 2009/2010 combine class. In 2010, I founded my company Leah Sarago Fitness to create and offer innovative and groundbreaking conditioning programs, methods, and techniques to help people attain the physique and results they have always desired. I am married to my college sweetheart (we met in our Exercise Physiology class).
Workout Philosophy: I believe optimal training produces optimal results. It is the fusion of science with creativity that makes a workout, not only unique, but effective. The most important aspect of exercise adherence is finding an exercise program that you will enjoy. However, that exercise program must be grounded in physiological principles to maximize the desired results.
