Qualifications: Certified by ACE in personal training. Graduate of the San Diego Golf Academy. A Cycle Reebok Certified Trainer.

Personal History: Being a native of Johannesburg, South Africa, I am an avid sportsman. The great Gary Player was my idol and, being on the small side, I followed his lead in strength and conditioning programs. To top this off, I gained 20 lbs. in eight weeks of basic training to earn my wings as a paratrooper in the SADF. It wasn't until I had the opportunity to attend the San Diego Golf Academy that I got my game back on track with a daily fix of exercises and workouts. Getting back into the swing of things on the links and getting certified as a personal trainer convinced me that golfers needed specific workout routines. This led me to develop my Power Golf Fitness video.

Workout Philosophy: You cannot get in shape by playing golf; instead, get in shape to play golf.

Sucess Story: A fellow named Bob from Rancho Santa Fe, California, who is in his mid-sixties, demanded that he not only break 90, but also increase his driving distance by 30+ yards. Bob was only willing to come to me once a week and assured me that he would work extra at home. At the beginning of each session, I would question him as to his progress and it always was, "I'm hitting it solid, but not very far." So, after five weeks, he broke 90 and is hitting the ball further and is enjoying the game more than ever - everybody is happy at home.
