Qualifications: ACE certified Group Fitness instructor and founder of Super Seniors.

Personal History: Megan McCracken enjoyed a successful TV and radio career for over twenty years. She has been the face of dozens of fortune 500 advertisers from Betty Crocker, Pampers, and Tylenol, to Burger King, ATT, and Red Lobster as well as hundreds of others.

In the late 1970’s, Megan landed a contract role on the ABC daytime drama, Ryan’s Hope.

Throughout her TV career, Megan’s love of fitness kept her in good shape to keep up with the demanding world of broadcast television.

During that time, she also developed a passion for teaching, so decided to set a new goal for herself.

In 1998, Megan McCracken became an ACE certified Group Fitness instructor, and in 1999 had acquired her ACE Personal Trainer certification as well. These were followed by other specialty recognitions and certifications including Enhance Fitness® for seniors.

With this senior certification in hand, Megan started teaching groups in retirement homes in Florida. The glowing faces she saw there, proved to her that this group of people really enjoy exercise, and love feeling self sufficient and vital.

It was while teaching these groups, that she saw huge improvements in their strength and confidence and overall happiness. Soon, the word spread, and the classes were full to capacity. This is when Megan realized, she had begun a legion of Super Seniors.

The idea to bring a fun fitness video to people that don’t have access to a trainer or group fitness classes, came as a natural progression, so Super Seniors got its start with Volume 1. Each video has its own unique theme, keeping the programs fresh and fun. Special attention is given to allow each exercise to be done from a seated or standing position in order to address all fitness levels.

All of them include segments of strength training, cardiovascular exercise and focused balance work as well as a warm up, cool down, and a stretch.

Volume 1 has a martial arts theme for the cardiovascular segment, which is a proven favorite in her classes.

At Super Seniors, we continue to educate ourselves with the ever changing trends of the fitness industry and tailor these trends to fit the needs of seniors.

Megan McCracken’s goal is to continue making the most effective workout videos for this population. We want to improve quality of life and functional fitness so they can maintain, or in some cases, regain the freedom to do all of the things they have always loved doing with their families and friends.
