Qualifications: BS, Exercise Science, Summa cum laude, Manhattan College. Certified as an USAW Sports Performance Coach, a Strength and Conditioning Specialist, an ASCM-HFI personal trainer and an HFPT Personal Trainer.

Personal History: As a kid, I was a complete couch potato! I lived vicariously through books and TV, always up in my head. But at 13, my mom took me to Jazzercise. This totally shifted my life. It was the first time I ever got out of my head and felt my spirit lift in a way that only music and movement can do for the soul. After that, there was really no other path for me because my heart had fallen in love with the interaction of the body with music.

Workout Philosophy: Movement is life. To move with joy is to keep your body, spirit, and mind forever young.

Sucess Story: Hands down, my most enriching client experience was with a 78 year-old gentleman named Seymour in NYC. When he had first come to me, he had recently been discharged from physical therapy but was still in danger of losing his independence (because he had become so weakened with a bad back and had difficulty moving around). However, after a year and a half of intensive training -- and much hard work -- he was so much improved that he had a springy step and his shirt size had gotten larger because of the muscle that he had gained. But an even better testament to his empowered sense of confidence was that he got married to a woman that he had been dating for several years ... and that was 10 years his junior. :)
