Qualifications: Certified by AFAA and ACEC. M.A. in Exercise Science. Former Nike athlete.

Personal History: I've been teaching for 22 years. I was dating a guy who was heavy into working out and he bought me a gym membership. Within two months, I was working there. I married him 7 years later and, at 40, we had our first child through in-vitro fertilization. I'm ready to have a second now! All this working out has kept not just my exterior in good shape, but, according to the doctors, I am as healthy as a 30-year-old inside!

Workout Philosophy: Go moderate and LONG on the cardio (control that blood sugar, darlings!), but hit the weights hard!

Success Story: I was working at a gym in San Diego while I was seeing a therapist for marriage counseling. I really liked my therapist and, one day, she confided in me that she struggled with food. That was somewhat obvious, because she was rather heavy, but I told her to just start walking while adding one good food to her diet once a week. I told her not to worry about REMOVING anything yet, because, eventually, the good foods would replace the bad ones. One year later, she had lost 70 pounds!
