Amira Mor, internationally renowned belly dancer, was born and raised in the Middle East, where she was infused with a love of music and dance. She has received world-wide acclaim as a performer, choreographer, producer, director and certified fitness instructor and has drawn a large, devoted audience which has made her one of the world's most sought after contemporary belly dancers. Amira is an inspiration to many women around the world. She is the director of the Jewels of the Desert Dance Company and has produced many shows including the Off-Broadway production, Secrets of the Desert. Amira has appeared in music videos including John Cougar Mellencamp's, "Another Sunny Day" and the Spin Doctors', "Cleopatra's Cat" and has been featured on numerous national television programs, including the Caroline Rhea Show, Emeril Live, Blind Date, Faking It, and the Fox Morning Show. At the Broadway Dance Center in New York City, she has instructed a myriad of students including Britney Spears. A few of her favorite venues include performing with the New York City Ballet at Lincoln Center, celebrity-studded Friar's Club Roasts, and the Ornette Coleman Jazz Festival in Cologne, Germany. Amira has enjoyed performing for the Prince and Princess of Morocco, the Prime Minister of Jordan, the mayor of New York City, musical legends Robert Plant, Sting, Moby, Federico Castelluccio, comedian Jackie Mason, Eve Ensler of the Vagina Monologues, Jane Fonda, The United Nations and many more.
